Baby Dillion

Life is precious, big or small,
It’s a theme we all know is true,
We see things grow and mature each day,
It hurts when a life can’t make it through.

We feel pain for the loss of a child,
The most beautiful creatures there are,
They count on us to guide them on their way,
Crying when we won’t let them go too far.

But now, we’re wondering about this child,
Why it is that he had to leave us so fast,
We will all search our minds for an answer,
The answer for why a young boy has passed.

We have to cry and mourn this loss,
We must learn from what has occurred,
We have to appreciate every type of life,
Showing and giving love to whom we adore,

We will question the will of our god,
We will question these lessons we learn,
We will worry about our next obstacle,
We will pray the next one won’t hurt.

Broken

BROKEN
Scratching at my face I bleed, needing to see a god at last.
Then you show up at my feet, a pain best left in my past.

Better hold inside your tears, I just don’t feel it anymore.
You filled my head with fears, but I don’t care anymore.

‘cause I’m broken, yes I’m broken…. now I’m broken because of you.

I’m broken, now I’m broken…. yes I’m broken because I loved you.

Your letters simplify the day, the day you disappeared.
Now my aura is fading away, it’s all I’ve ever feared.

I feel my time is limited now, I’m screaming in my sleep.
I want and hate you all the time; my cuts are getting deep.

I’m broken, now I’m broken…. yes I’m broken because I loved you.

I stand before you lost and sad, wanting more than I can have.
Wishes false until the end, the goal for me is staying alive.

Mock me if you feel the need, knock me to the ground.
Now you kick me in the teeth, laughing loud at torture’s sound.

I’m broken, now I’m broken…. yes I’m broken because I loved you.

I’m broken-----yes you broke me, you failed me in every way.
Yes I’m broken, because I loved you, I have too much left to say.

BUT FOR NOW!

I’m Broken----yes I’m broken, I’m broken-----because of you.

Yes I’m broken----completely broken, I’m broken because…of…you.
