He's a Carpenter

Surrounded by various profession
Business, medicine, soldiership and education
It's heaven-sent and planned for Him to labour
To work manually with strength and effort
True hardships; entails a great man of honor

He picked up woods and tools to craft
From small drawers and tables to houses that will last
An impression of humility and expression of equality
Though He is reverence; a Saviour from heaven

Joseph was the adoptive father
Where His skill of carpentry originated
He worked night and day; perspired with pain
He asked of no demand and with no complain

The name is Jesus born in Betlehem
The only begotten son of our Father in heaven
He could have worked in another occupation
But chose to make a living from down-below

Carpenters make
Carpenters create
They take the common and make it something to consider
Equipped with right materials they bind things altogether
The reason-being, for us to know He's a builder

Don't you know that we're under construction?
Whenever our hearts broken and the world is all we know
When we pray and call, Jesus is at work
To fix us and forgive; improving mind and soul

No work is greater if hardwork is shared
Truly, Jesus had proven that a carpenter's noble
To help us build our dreams and make the world stronger
"In Him, all things hold together"'.

A Souper Friend Encounter

A warm smile of hello in the sanctuary of poets
The name is Arden G.; here to express not to impress
If I coud do an eye-contact and a firm handshake in the virtual land of PoetrySoup
Would be a dream come true to meet great poets called, "Souper".

If I could move heaven and earth; I'd love to meet Linda or PoetDestroyer, SKAT and Julie Rasley
The first few who commented on my featured poem, "LOVE" and welcomed me as a family
Anne Lise Andresen who always drop by and Sheri Harper that ranked my first poem entry, "A Shot of HIV"
I'll tell them a simple, "THANKS" and encouragement of "MORE POWER".
For no words could capture the emotions of knowing wonderful artists in this world.

Of course I'd like to meet and learn something 'bout Yasmin Khan
Who advocates to bind each poets; pure intentions to make us one
I'll tap her shoulder and tell her, "IT'S A JOB WELL DONE".
Now everybody's sharing their depths and self one by one.

Is there a way to meet the founder of Poetrysoup?
To tell HIM, "BRAVISSIMO" and my new "SOUPER-FRIEND" too.

Boracay

White-sugary sand
                 Desirable beaches that surround
                              Sunrise at its prime
Sunset's a beautiful scenery of love and freedom

                             A place to unwind
                        Greets you with a smile
Travel, lifestyle, entertainment - name it and you'll find
Sailing, diving, surfing and island hopping
Gift shops, souvenirs, boutiques at D'Mall
                   Bars and restaurants to party
                  Bands, acoustic, music inviting
                    Night life's lively until dawn
                 Fire-dancing is the main show

                 Massage, foot-spa, facial service
                  Massage stations on the beach
Or sit-back and relax for a private hotel offering

                                    Skin-art?
                     Henna-tattoos everywhere
                Though the drawings temporary
The joy and experience are long-lasting

                  Nature-trippers will say, "WOW"
                  A splendid appearance waiting
Volcanic caves, mangrove forest, coconut trees - so green
And if you're up to burn your skin
The sun is set for sun bathing

                              An island tropical
                            In a region far-away
                            A land of promises
                            For vacation's best
                            Happiness, certain
                           Countless memories
               With people welcoming and friendly
                     In an island called, "BORACAY"
                            A paradise to keep.

May December Romance

Cold winter, sprouting spring, seasons they do not agree
Our love's defined inessential, citizens they do not agree

They talked of money and status - her intentions of love
Happens in a heartbeat - whatever reasons they do not agree

Have you ever been in love where you're blinded and equal?
Conflicting to compatible - horizons they do not agree

For my eyes are growing old and gap is too wide
I was accused and she was judged, our emotions they do not agree

However, we'll sing and dance like nobody's watching
Better to be hated for than to break a person they do not agree.

Child Labor

A child on the street
                           Begging for something to eat
                                      "Future's prevented".

To My Rapist

Fragment images illumined
A hostile sight of no mercy
Found no escape, I was destined
                  A scheme of darkest scenery
Entrapped with hugs and kisses - sour
A final dot of final hour.

If you have mercy set me free
                   Still a captive of disgrace
            A minor holding no degree
You wasted with a proudly face
How could you close the door and left me?
                           Thinking okay, ignoring my plea

What a view to see you dying
A soulful music to my ears
              Is it really satisfying
                     When dignity's stolen with fears?
My life has been a poor attempt
To live away with your contempt.

A Shot of Hiv

Heart blushes
Full of threat
As the blood swims on the inner
Carries danger on its hosts
Infections amidst

Cells stopped dancing
As the virus replicate
Immunity shut down
Nerves get crazier

The brain sings a lonely tune
As the body waved goodbye
Never imagined that one pleasure
Will bring an unwanted harm
The system has surrendered
Death applauded for its wait
The physique is now gray
Eyes closed as the viral paved way

My Mom's a Maid

She cares for the job
Though the masters scream and shout
                           For the sake of love

Tomorrow

A silver lining
Painted on a dull, gray sky
                       By courage and faith.
