A Shot of Hiv

Heart blushes
Full of threat
As the blood swims on the inner
Carries danger on its hosts
Infections amidst

Cells stopped dancing
As the virus replicate
Immunity shut down
Nerves get crazier

The brain sings a lonely tune
As the body waved goodbye
Never imagined that one pleasure
Will bring an unwanted harm
The system has surrendered
Death applauded for its wait
The physique is now gray
Eyes closed as the viral paved way

Well, I'm hoping for material like this to be featured by groups such as LoveYourself in order to not only raise a consciousness but put art in the spotlight as well. Unfortunately the contest rules require the use of the personification form. Your work is still excellent poetry that I enjoyed reading. Thanks much for entering my contest. During the past few months, I was able to meet people with HIV and I think that this is the best time to make others aware on how this could affect lives. I'm new here and stil didn't know the categories on where to directly place my poems under. I'm so happy that my poem was able to catch your interest. This is a big achievement for me as a writer.
