At a Loss For Lego's

My words are like legos,
scattered all over the floor.
All colorful shapes and sizes
different combinations to explore.

I’m like a poor lego man,
With his head on backwards.
I remove my head and search it,
In desperation when I lack words.

Because my words are like legos
and sometimes they’re hard to find.
Missing pieces in the dark,
the little crevices of my mind.

My words are like messy legos,
like a castle that’s been broken.
Being rebuilt piece by piece,
With every word that’s spoken.

So I’ll gather all my legos,
and I’ll build a castle too!
I’ll use all my beautiful legos,
I would build it just for you.

But you came and stole my lego's,
You swooped them off the ground.
I tried to tell you my secret,
But I couldn’t make a sound.

Why did you take my legos?
That wasn’t part of the deal.
Please just give them back,
So I can tell you how I feel.

Love Like Cotton Candy

We sat beneath a bleeding sky,
Pink, like cotton candy.

You breathed a smiling sigh,
Soft, like cotton candy.

My lips fell to your command,
Sweet, like cotton candy.

We danced hand in hand,
Spun, like cotton candy.

But now that moment's passed,
Melted, like cotton candy.

These dreams never last,
Gone, like cotton candy.

The Cowards Cup

Remember that moment, that glorious day,
you were sipping coffee in your favorite café?
You sat at the window seat, next to empty space,
As the light came in and painted life on your face.

I remember the flower you wore in your hair,
I remember the cent it trickled through the air.
I remember the half polished nails on your feet,
I remember you hid them, bent beneath your seat.

Don’t you remember every little thing,
The silence in your mind letting the heart sing?
In that moment so much was expressed,
a feeling was born and held in my chest.

I remember the jealousy I had for your book,
For it held your hand and caught every look.
I envied the cup you brought to your lips,
You were like the sun and I imagined our eclipse.

It’s sad to remember your eyes never met mine,
It hurts to know our lives will never intertwine.
I was just part of a moment that you never saw,
Now I’m alone, with a cold cup and an extra straw.

Butterfly Girl

I was a witness to hopes decay,
I was a light on your darkest day.

You were a secret I couldn’t tell;
You were a dream sent from hell.

I know you’ll haunt my every dream,
You will be heard in every scream.

My freedom is something I can never earn,
Even in death I know you’ll return.

As I watch the blood flee from your skin,
I lie waiting for the nightmare to begin.

Heartless

In the woods wonders a fool,
He walks along a sorrowful path.
His soul has fallen beneath the rule
of a vengeful woman’s wrath.

He begs forgiveness from the dark,
For that is all who can hear his cries.
Even his shadow refuses to hark,
as the tears flow from his eyes.

With his heart she stole the good,
and crumbled it into the dirt.
As he begged, broken he stood,
wishing for a way to stop the hurt.

No second chances, no more tries.
She couldn’t forgive him once more
No amount of tears nor alibis,
could wash away the bottles on the floor.

He sipped past his final excuse,
He lost her love now once for all.
Now he walks to a lonely noose,
Haunted by the demons call.

Love has turned her face away
the pain now takes control.
There were no silver words to say,
That could pay this poor fools toll.

As he wanders deep and deeper
his sorrow is overthrown by rage.
Now as he awaits the reaper,
his heart is stabbed within its cage.

Addiction has poisoned and made him ill
It’s blackened his heart and stolen his sight
His anger it boils and readies to kill,
Demons have awoken in his heart tonight.

A transformation has taken place,
tonight a monster has been born.
An evil slithers across his face,
flowing from where his heart was torn.

In the woods awaits an angry fool,
love has left him and he rots in pain.
He hates the living like an evil ghoul,
and death runs through his every vein.

In the dark by damnation's gate
He sits alone and lingers.
waiting for that woman’s fate
to fall into his fingers.

He wants her to look into his eyes,
and fear what she has created.
He wants to kiss her as she dies,
and whisper why he’s waited.

He wants his life to be rebuilt,
He wants the heart that she stole
He wants to be free of the guilt,
He wants to regain his soul.

Falling From Faith

This image is different within my eyes,
Your masquerade is stripped of it’s disguise.

Your emaciated praise is so tortuously sung;
The black in your heart is a lie on your tongue.
Our mouths are muted by the lies you’ve sewn,
But I see the weed choking the flower shown.

Your cardiac corruption leaves your message hallow,
But blinded sheep need a sound to fallow.
Guided by deception they eagerly trudge,
to a demon wearing the mask of a judge.

You rejoice in every heartbroken lament,
For the law is only what you choose to invent.
Lies are laced within your every breath,
You march us to hell then whisper us to death.

When Eyes Run Dry

You’re kidnapped by the serenade,
of the whispers before they hush.
Your eyes seduce the blade,
as you crave and dread the rush.

Your skin and the steel collide,
and the edge delivers chills.
Now all of your fears subside,
as the crimson slowly spills

Sleeping Kills

I fight but I fail,
I’m tortured from within.
I bite at my nails,
and slash through my skin.

I have to bleed,
and watch as it drains.
The evil seed,
Growing through my veins.

It won’t cease,
Till it chokes my heart.
I’m a masterpiece,
Of the devils art.

I am a slave,
chained to my plight.
I lay in my grave,
and die every night.

I keep bending,
waiting to break.
I keep pretending,
It’s gone when I awake.
