Sleeping Kills

I fight but I fail,
I’m tortured from within.
I bite at my nails,
and slash through my skin.

I have to bleed,
and watch as it drains.
The evil seed,
Growing through my veins.

It won’t cease,
Till it chokes my heart.
I’m a masterpiece,
Of the devils art.

I am a slave,
chained to my plight.
I lay in my grave,
and die every night.

I keep bending,
waiting to break.
I keep pretending,
It’s gone when I awake.
