My heart beats faintly, like the ticking of a clock
As I watch myself die, I am shocked
This brutality of a fallible person
No one could be this inhumane, I was almost certain
I can’t shed a tear as I watch my death
Not a soul around to see my last breath
I turn away for I know it’s time to go
I walk into the light, ever so slow

I have so many emotions
In my head there’s so much commotion
Keeping it all inside is my number one devotion
Let it out? Don’t give me the notion
I’m so distraught
The ones I loved, I fought
Didn’t want them around this twisted person I had become, I was helping I
thought
But still I yearn to say, “Forget me not”
My thoughts have become exotic
Hatred and anger so hypnotic
I know I’m psychotic
But I grow colder each day, more chaotic

Because all my life I received hate and pain

Because this would be my dream come true

I just know you’re not like the other people I was with before

For this will bring my shattered heart back to one piece
