Unwanted Death

My heart beats faintly, like the ticking of a clock As I watch myself die, I am shocked This brutality of a fallible person No one could be this inhumane, I was almost certain I can’t shed a tear as I watch my death Not a soul around to see my last breath I turn away for I know it’s time to go I walk into the light, ever so slow
