Endless Days and Sleepless Nights

Denying existence in the ambience of reality bent
Lost in a limitless labyrinth of morality
A delinquent mind obsessed with mischievous intent
Underneath a blanket of emotional uncertainty

Laying together until the warmth of the sunlight
Illuminates the dark secrets of our faces
Reminiscing about long lost juvenile nights
With engraved memories of our fondest places

Good Morning

As the morning sun illuminates my face,
And the birds sing joyous songs of the new day,
I turn over and slowly open my eyes,
Staring at the empty spot where you used to lay.

Renewed is the pain that sleep had pushed aside,
Renewed is the longing of a broken heart,
Renewed are the sad memories of the day,
When you packed up and left me, for a brand new start.

As the warm water cascades down my body,
And washes away the dried up tears of a lonely night,
I close my eyes and dream of cleansing my soul,
Of selfish misery now basking in the limelight.

My reflection serves as a portrait of despair,
A painful reminder of the happiness that was once there.
Each piece of clothing a sadder memory than the last,
They are weighed down by more regret than I can bare.

Before I open the door I straighten my back,
Raise my chin and paint a smile on my face.
In one hand I clutch my crying soul,
And shove it in my heart's padlocked case.
I turn the knob and look out in the distance,
To a blissful, sublime, nonexistent place.

Soulmate

She was everything he could dream of,
Fantasy given a live heartbeat.
An unattainable rare jewel,
Leaving a taste beyond bittersweet.

An angel sent from the high Heavens,
The epitome of perfection.
A beautiful spirit blossoming,
Wearing an untainted complexion.

Hypnotic, mesmerizing motions,
Elegance persuading the skeptics,
The definition of modesty,
Silencing the jealous heretics.

An angelic smile providing light,
Contagious, spinning heads turn around.
Starry eyes glittering in the night,
A dreamers search ends, paradise found.

The Traveller

The sun beats down on a leather face,
The burnt remnants of a trying past.
Saddened eyes gazing towards nothing,
The empty stare of a life harassed.

A single pair of footsteps trailing,
Disappearing into the distance.
Weighted footprints from a heavy heart,
The proof of lonely perseverance.

Barely standing on two blood stained feet,
Supporting old knees so rickety.
A silhouette wavering in wind,
The epitome of frailty.

Essence escapes from every pore,
A heavy musk, reeking of defeat.
The remains of a figure once proud,
Desire's fire finally obsolete.

Well versed in the language of failure,
Silent screams, shattered dreams so hollow.
The crying sun eternally sets,
Dark shadows stretch until tomorrow.

A weary soul in search of haven,
Quickly rejected by Heaven's Gate.
Overcome with exhaustion, yet still,
Reluctant to surrender to fate.

A Bitter Brew

Thirst creeps over an exhausted soul,
Staring at a bottle of madness.
Labeled insanity's origin,
A mixture of flavors so callous.

Bitter undertones brewed deep within,
Hatred harmoniously ferments.
A dash of anxiety mixed in,
A pinch of disdain to complement.

Anxious fingers crack open a brew,
A refreshingly cold hiss escapes.
Eyes widen, dry lips happily curl,
A vile tendency perpetuates.

One sip of this evil elixir,
Releases the demons deep within,
Corrupting a once innocent heart,
Let delinquent decisions begin.

Wicker Park

In desperation of solitude,
Sanity struggles to stay afloat.
Dark clouds descend on paradise lost,
Escape disappears, madness provoked.

Shadows dancing under the pale moon,
Mischievous silhouettes on the walls.
In the company of misery,
An unsympathetic world revolves.

Tragedy collects inside her quill,
Trembling in her delicate hand.
Tears streaming onto crumpled pages,
Unseen words bleed onto her nightstand.

Child of darkness, product of sorrow,
A fallen star abandoned by Hope.
Haunted by the desecrated ghosts,
Past secrets sealed in an envelope.

Despair magnified by cold silence,
Stories untold, forgotten memoirs.
Drawn towards the pale light of the moon,
Alone she rides, shepard of the stars.

The Depth of Madness

Fantasies of a delinquent mind,
Nightmares turned into reality.
Unable to runaway from an,
Entire life followed by tragedy.

A neurotic mind has become an,
Incubator of anxiety.
Forever living in solitude,
Nourishing thoughts of insanity.

A blossoming friendship with chaos,
Life eluded by tranquility.
A suffocating heart fails to beat,
Desperate gasps of futility.

Madness surrounds a broken down soul's,
Feeble attempts at sobriety.
Misinterpreting distant echoes,
The new dark horse of society.

Hope

This is for the lonely dreamers,
who fantasize of a life of grandeur,
Who never cross off the possibilities,
of whatever their minds can conjure.

For those who look forward to the rising sun,
to set the skies ablaze and burn away,
The stagnate and unequivocal nothing,
the dark secrets of yesterday.

For those who wait for the forgiving moon,
a single shining light illuminating the night,
Helping to embrace the cold, lonely solitude,
helping take off the heavy mask of fright.

For those who stare at the clouds,
to escape their mundane reality.
For those who gaze at the stars,
in search of some unknown entity.

The inextinguishable light of hope burns,
deep within our hearts for eternity.
As we search for the courage,
to take a step onto the winds of destiny.

Lucy Fur

A sultry thief of desperate souls,
A devilish harlot in disguise.
Hoarder of damaged and broken hearts,
Picking up remnants of loves demise.

Across a flawless, unblemished face,
Lips curl, a wry smile begins to form.
A vulture of the vulnerable,
A red rose with invisible thorns.

Eerie elegies luring innocent souls,
A siren's laughter invokes madness.
Chaos descends upon the willing,
Naive hearts crumble under duress.

As the revealing sun shines brightly,
Clear light helps true intentions unfold,
Evil lies underneath the white veil,
Tragic stories of love left untold.

Lost

The plan for escape comes together,
Desperate to leave the past behind.
Ready to venture out the front door,
Unsettling thoughts consume the mind.

Frightened feet reluctant to step out,
Fragile courage quickly collapses.
Fingers cross, hoping for a moment,
Ruthless reality relaxes.

The blinding sun uncovers secrets,
Hidden beneath a reticent face.
As the path begins to meander,
Towards an unfamiliar place.

Exhausted legs carry hopeless dreams,
Towards paradise in the distance.
Doubt extinguishes anxious desire,
Reminiscing blissful ignorance.

Determined to find new direction,
Ignoring the strong urge to look back.
The winding labyrinth never ends,
Insanity births a maniac.
