Mirela Balan Poem
in the city of Dublin
the seagulls cry out their desire
to fly back to the open sea
hearing them I think of my space
reduced to the one-way sky
a stranger tells me
*priveste imaginea de ansamblu
I wonder how could I
every second shrinks my shadow
ironically I sip my English tea
when you awkward stubborn sun
make my field hurry towards a late green
I can’t swim against the stream
but unaware of a deadline yet
I linger on the streets of my poems
* priveste imaginea de ansamblu
*to look at the large picture

Mirela Balan Poem
There is too much silence
In this English world
I can hear the feeling
Making its way into my soul
I’ll stick to the thought
We spent a few minutes
On a nightful bench
My love didn’t have enough time
to dance its way out…

Mirela Balan Poem
They say :
‘She lost her baby’.
But nobody in sky or earth
would tell her
where.
I’ll try to get closer
to them all…
Seen through a tear,
the air I breathe
catches the colour of hope.

Mirela Balan Poem
I went out for a couple of drinks
with the girls.
At the end
I chose a taxi to take me home.
I thought I put my life into the driver’s hands
just like an unborn chooses a human being
to join his journey into the world.
And before he comes,
the unborn has a couple of drinks with the Maestro
telling him the rules of living.
And no personal will can interfere with that…

Mirela Balan Poem
I’m waiting for that morning
To bring the loch back to my eyes
And you darling you
Turn into a runaway cloud
And let your shower
Bloom my desire

Mirela Balan Poem
I was supposed to give birth
But my unborn
Found a way
To avoid the world
As we know it
Under the scars
Meanings are rumbling
That I can no longer hear
The beat of my heart
