Struggle

The sheltering of are heart is pure
for God covers it with his love
but the bonds of flesh try to escape
to leave the confinements of are soul
what is this flesh to us?
is it not just meat and bone?
is not are soul a means to an end
and a new beginning....

Strangers

the multitude of colors
before my very eyes
endless sea of others
that fills my suttle life
exchanging words
and smiling faces
lighting up the darkest places
so be kind
when talking to strangers
you never know
they could be angels
sent here from up above
to guide ALL of us
to gods endless love

Summer Rain

i lie down in the road
 no one around
looking at the sky
fluffy gray clouds fill my eyes
 i'm waiting
i hear thunder in the distance
its getting closer
 the wind picks up
 nice breeze flowing over me
something cool and moist hits my cheek
 finally its here
drops of water fall from heaven
 i close my eyes
 slightly cracking my lips
just enough to taste the water in my mouth
 it starts pouring down
 my body cooling off
from the summer heat
 im at peace
listening to the sound of the rain
 rush down the sidewalk
i smile and think to myself
 how i love summer rain

Day

no life for me
to live without the
slow is the day
calling on your name
i wait and listen
my soul stirs
fall to my knees i pray
for your final say
inveloped by your love
my heart is overjoyed
night falls i sleep well
slow is the day

Vision 1

in a vision ,I walk with many people
like lost sheep in a beautiful green field
looking toward the sunset
we travel to are destination,
not knowing where that might be
or what to do/I am confused.
but I keep up the pace with everyone else
we are getting close
because the people are getting cheerful and happy
suddenly without warning the ground begins to shake
the earth beneath us opens up
as if to swallow us whole
screaming and panic surrounds me like
loud trumpets blasting in my ears
fire comes from the vast opening in the earth
as if time stood still
I hear an evil voice from below
the words mumbled together
I do not understand
and as time proceeded to slow
a bright light broke from the sky
a hand bigger than words can describe
descended from the heavens
forcing the evil back into the earth
and as if told we climbed onto this hand
at peace and fully relaxed
this magnificent hand lead us toward the sunset
were my vision ends....

The End

my heart is unsettled
confusion seeps through the pours of my soul
 information in world events
 and scripture takes place
 bent on revelations
 God be with us
 poisoned thoughts consume the world
wars rage while talks of peace take place
 redemption is few
 the beast marks many
 no more forgiveness
 the journey for righteousness begins
 knees fold
 loved ones go
 take the fathers hand
for it will be your last
 are spirits rise
 evildoers fall
 which path will you follow?

Knowledge

as the wisdom i seek grows
knowledge is mine to keep
an arrangement of life flows
in forever silence i speak
my book is full
still i crave more
for knowledge is the key
to unlocking the door

Run

scorching heat piercing my skin
sweat from my body leaping off me as if afraid
 i keep going
 one step after another
 can i get through this
 i start shaking
   my body's akin
 i keep going
 i see the end coming
 blurred vision taking over
 friends cheering me on
 pushing myself pass the limit
 i keep going
a few more feet i hear from the crowd
 i cross the line
 i am finished
 but....i keep going

Abuse

i sit alone
 an excile for my past
 life slipping away
like sands through an hour glass
 the evil deeds
 that i have done
 useing alcohol,drugs
 as a lethal gun
 pulling the trigger
 my loved ones run
but today a new life begins
when my little girl was only one
she seen me useing the devil's rum
turning i looked at her innocent face
i fell to my knees in discrace
 i prayed
 please take these sins away
12 years clean to this very day

Unspoken Words

God fills me with a voice
a voice reason
but i am conjested with it in my mind
i try to share these thoughts
but i can not
for a minute or two poetry from Gods lips
leave mine with such beauty
and i lose grasp of it quickly
so i ask
is this for me only?
why cant i share these thoughts?
is there a reason it slips my mind as fast as it comes
