Sometimes it's hard with no where to run
No one to depend on,not even one
Trying to make the best for you and your child
Protecting them loving them all the while
Protecting Then From harm
Loving them until they die
Doing what you can to give them a better life
Trying to give them all they want and what you can
You've got to believe in yourself because there is no man
In your heart, you are man and woman
Man enough to teach,Woman enough to love them
Learn From your mistakes and you should proceed as you live
Shed blood and tears just as Jesus Did
Show all who didn't believe what you have done
But remember the feeling of not having anyone
Because that shows sometimes we are not together
Time after Time, We are alone in the gutter
But just take the past and set it on a shelf
And Remember, don't beleive in anyone more then yourself

You held my head under water
But I still had air to breathe
Made me walk through hell on fire
But I was cooled by a cold breeze
Try to kill me with pain
But My heart was locked
Over and Over again
You Refused to stop
Locked me in a house so i wasnt free
But you forgot i had another key
Cant wait for the day that you will see
That you are not the man you claim to be
Im done with the excuses and the lies
You were nothing but a waste of time
Couldnt see the flames through the smoke
But it wasnt long before is started to choke
I should've known all the signs i was shown
That i would end up standing on my own
TDont get any ideas because im threw
I dont ever want to go back to you
Cant wait for the day that you will see
That you are not the man you claim to be
