Wishing and Seeking

You try and do what you can in life, living each day.
Not seeking all you really do.
That's where he comes in, opening your eyes to the truth.
You think your just a girl playing the game called life,
but to him, he sees a women standing strong.
Everyday you work hard to better yourself.
If you asked him, he thought you couldn't get any more perfect.
Standing in front of the mirror you add makeup trying to look prettier,
when he sees you he smiles knowing you never need it.
He sees beauty in everything you do,
is always there for you when life hits you hard,
and would never leave.
He does exist, and is out there,
if you are patient enough to find him...

The Rose

I watch the rose as it lowers its head, as if given up on the world.
The blood red petals darken and let go, leaving the stem and its harsh thorns.
This once radiant rose is now crashing down, on the table its sat;
until, all the petals are gone and there is nothing left, in the veins.
As it fades and drops, down into the soil, behind is left all that remains.
As time passes this beautiful flower is forgotten.
Given more time the rose begins to rise,
this time stronger, and colored with courage.

Pain

My eyes open to only shut again,
As for my heart gains speed,
Only to someday stop.
Tears come and tears go,
Waiting for the next down pour.
They say a heart grows,
Perhaps for the most pain possible
when It finally shatters…
Love and hate, passed through us all.
A life is born, while a new death arises.
Why be born into a world of pain?
You learn to grow numb and weak anyway..

A Single Valentine's Day

To the one I cannot say,
For I still don’t know your name.
The day for love and flowers,
Is almost going to rise.
Yet I will not receive roses,
I will not get to watch them die.
My pumping heart is empty,
And for that I must say,
I would meet you today,
If I could have my way.
It beats for the one that’s far away,
For I still don’t know your name.
Candy and cards will be given,
But for you I will not pay.
I will wait again for your arrival,
During this valentine’s day,
For I still don’t know your name.

Sealed Beak

The crow perches and watches,
all that walks below him.
With his black, silky feathers his waits,
as if holding a secret.
Keeping his beak closed tight,
he keeps the truth hidden.
None will know if he doesn’t speak.
his black, stone eyes dart to both sides,
making a quick chuckle to himself,
before he opens his wings,
taking flight aside the moonlight.

Light of Sadness

My soul pours out of my heart,
Along with the rain that pours from the sky.
A hollow feeling grows from inside,
But I just lay here and feel I will die.
The rain hits my face,
Making reality stay close.
My cold, beating heart slows,
And my breathing almost goes.
I start to fade,
Out of this life I once knew.
Feeling everything leave me,
As I count my last heart beats,
Four, three and two…
Then the clouds are empty,
And the raining stops.
The moon shines down
Making my heart drop.
This feeling i forgot is now returning,
I open my eyes and remember,
Just how beautiful the moon is.
I no longer have to remember to breath,
And my heart is racing inside of me.
The day I thought would be my last,
Turned out to be the day all my pain has past.

Beating Blood

A broken heart can be sown,
And someone’s soul can be shared.
My heart was won and also taken away.
With time the scars where it tore open faded,
And my eyes learned once again to glisten.
Two hearts can learn to beat the same.
Mine is just waiting to hear some music.

The Night Soul

My favorite place to sit,
when the sun is gone and whispers grow louder.
Sitting with legs streched out looking and waiting...
The backround darkens as the trees sway,
following the wind's direction.
My breathing slows and my curiousity races.
Then I feel a rush grow from inside,
raising my head to the whitening stars,
showing me to be calm.
My eyes focus on the trees, thier movements.
As they sway my eyes widen and I watch,
transfixed...
The white light hits my face and fills my eyes.
Now my body is still and I realize,
I'm the only soul out at night.
Me and the moon.
I hear a breeze in the distance,
watching the trees rock.
Then the cool blow hits my warm skin,
and tickles my hair.
The music of night,
chims sing as the wind blows harder,
reminding me im not alone.
I feel a growl built but I dont release it.
The moon paints my skin,
capturing me again, I sigh.
Then I sense i'm not alone,
it is not just me and the moon.
Another soul has crept out tonight,
for his eyes shine back at mine...

The Unknown

The moon meets my eyes,
Stealing them; making me watch it, grow brighter.
Taking that moment from me,
As the stars burn through the sky.
I take in a deep breath as my head spins,
Not removing my eyes from the moon,
As if it holds all my answers.

Star Shadows

She looked up,
peering passed the trees and buildings.
The burning stars filled her eyes,
they too, seemed alive.
Wondering, if the stars feel just as hollow,
Shining because it's all they know.
Instead of shining she casts a dark shadow,
that follows every step.
Perhaps, the night sky is just shadows of the stars.
Giving them a dark side as well.
The wind blew her hair,
promising a truth.
The mind of everything is just half,
the heart is what completes all.
