Amanda Hinkle Poem
An early August morning
Without indication or prior warning
I got a phone calling, my heart broke so fast
My best friend had breathed his last
A lifetime of sickness, now suffering no more
God said, "Now it was time to go!"
My heart screaming, "This cannot be true!"
But in my heart, I think I knew...
My friend was home with the Savior
All that remains is his wheelchair
He is worshipping with the angels in heaven
And rejoicing he can walk again
Countless laughs and conversations we shared
Now precious memories to always be remembered
Leaving a legacy of faith, love and joy
Robbi, I miss you every single day!
"I love ya sis, bye for now!"
The last words he said, now he is in glory
Beholding all of the heavenly splendor
I can but imagine what he's experiencing now
I grieve for the loss of my "brother"
He was a gift to me from the Heavenly Father
I'll see you soon, Robbi!
Save a place, in heaven, for me!

Amanda Hinkle Poem
Tears running down her
saddened face
Closing the door, quickly
looking behind
Wondering why she walked into
this place
Does anyone know what she
just did?
A messed up life, brought on by
abuse
Needing help, but where?
Searching for love and only
getting used
Waking up one day, a new life
growing inside her
Confusion clouded by doubt
and fear
What should she do right now?
Fearing rejection and
judgement from others
Walking into the clinic, it would
be ok somehow
As soon as the procedure was
over
Tears of regret flowed down her
face
The heart beat of a life once
alive
Disappeared, gone without a
trace
A voice that would never utter
a word
A powerful silence for the
unborn
Quickly ushered in the arms of
The Lord
Precious life, never to return
again
If you are carrying all this guilt
inside of you
Please know that the Savior
sent His Son to die
He took your sins and all mine
too
Died a cruel death, because He
loves you!
We need to turn from all our sin
Put our faith in the holy Lamb
of God
Don't carry all your guilt within
There's hope and forgiveness
through the Son

Amanda Hinkle Poem
Sweat drops of blood falling to the ground
Praying in agony, was the son to the father
He knew his time was drawing near
Please! Let this cup pass from me, oh Lord!
In obedience, he went to the cross willingly
Enduring the rejection, mocking and the shame
He demonstrates His love for all the world to see
Taking our sin, as they mocked his holy name
Being nailed to that old cross of wood
Every breath was breathed in agony
A spear being thrust into his body
Blood and water pouring down his side ..
Inside an empty tomb his body was placed
His followers all mourning, was this the end of the story?
Two days later he arose again.. Death was swallowed up in victory!!
Had it not been for love, there would be no history!
Had it not been for grace, where would we be?
Had it not been for obedience, there would be no second chance
And one day, we will see the savior who died for us-- face to face..
Oh yes!
It was for us! The perfect lamb was crucified!
On a rugged cross, he bled and died!
Taking all our sins upon himself, he cries
"it is finished" death, was swallowed up in victory!!!

Amanda Hinkle Poem
Frank
A man of God, and a friend to many
Heart of gold, shining so radiantly
Lovin life, his family and friends
Frank had a joy that no soul could deny
Always ready with a joke to make a sad soul smile
Always ready, if needed, to pray a while
Loving others, but loving Jesus most of all
Frank served his Jesus and gave his all
A doctor visit revealing stage three cancer
A whole life, now changing forever
Every day presenting new challenges
Franks beloved bride, sharing with him the peaks and valleys
God said it was now time to go
We grieve the loss of his presence, but this one thing we know
Frank is in heaven, without any more pain
Learning that to die and be with Christ, is truly gain
He is worshipping his Savior now, for all eternity!

Amanda Hinkle Poem
In the third row of a little country church
There sits a vacant space
A happy soul named Ray
Sat in his wheelchair in that place.
Always ready with a firm hand shake,
A hearty laugh and always a smile
Always a story ready to tell,
If you took the time to stay a while.
Stories of his work, his family, friends and wife
Stories from a man who served his Savior with his life.
God has called him home today
One more saint beholding God's glory
One more saint that God has used
With his own unique life story
There'll be a vacant seat on Sunday
Where a dear man used to be
Whose now worshipping the God he served - for ALL eternity!
