Product of Design

I am a product of design,
to withstand as a mighty pine.
My calling is to be a saint.
My job: to serve and not to faint.

I'm guided by my Masters' strong hand.
He leads me safely throughout this land.
He watches over me as I sleep,
and shelters me in love when I weep.

My loving Father gives all I need,
and so to His call I must take heed.
Like a blanket, His love covers me,
and protects me from all harm to be.

One day at the Eastern gate we'll meet,
forever to bow at His scarred feet.
One day I'll rest by the Crystal Sea,
and then to sing praises full of glee.

One Night

ONE NIGHT

One night as I was all alone,
my heart was heavy as a stone.
Not at all sure how I had grown,
then around me a bright light shone.

At once I was filled with fright.
From where came this brilliant light.
I steadied with all my might,
before my eyes such a sight.

A host of angels I see,
gathering all around me,
dancing about full of glee.
Sent from Heaven they must be.

Even when I feel oh so blue,
going on without just a clue.
God paints in a beautiful hue.
I only need to see the view.
