I Found Myself In You

I found myself in you, pretty little thing,
I found myself in you, beautiful sparrow broken wing.
I found myself in you, my slanted smile, my fallen tears,
I found myself in you, my doubt, my courage, my hope, my fear.
I found myself in you, my bright past, my hopeless future,
I found myself in you, brimming with energy, fallen from torture.
I found myself in you, my ambitions, my faults,
I found myself in you, my darkest emotion, my deepest thoughts.
I found myself in you, broken little thing,
I found myself in you, little sparrow healing wing.
I found myself in you, no pity, no rage,
I found myself in you, ending chapter, turning page.

From Your Point of View: Our Loves Suicide

Will you ever stop thinking? Will you ever stop dreaming?
Not able to keep up, I feel as if I’m slowly sinking.
I can’t keep up with your spirits rapid touch, I'm afraid of losing all that I knew was you,
You once were me, I once was you and that’s all I ever wanted, that’s all I ever knew.
Being saved you’ve changed, not the same person with which I once engaged,
And you now you exalt a new passion, I can't seem to grasp.

Will that person ever come back, the one I loved the one I lacked?
We once were new, the new is now gone, all that’s left is you,
And I can’t hold on to that to that person any longer.
Slowly I’ll fade, into your memory I’ll stay, accepting I’ll never know you again.
The higher you fly and the brighter you shine, the more I dim, the more I decline,
What once was love is now suicide, for this love will no longer grow, this love has painfully died.

A Feeling So Secure

Winter… The memories flood back with this season each year.
You were so warm in my desolate cold world.
My crushed spirit was mended with your touch.
Two lost kids, looking for an answer.
We had thought we found it within each other.
A simple glance said it all.
No thinking about tomorrow, all we need is today.
Adolescent longing for what we could not have.
All of it kept at bay with the promise or our love.
All of it swept away with one swift move of dishonesty.

Utopia

Follow me to the place of dreams where all our imaginings can become a reality,
We’ll fly away, save our troubles for another day and reminisce of the love we once had.
Nothing need make sense; we’ll create our own logic, forget all our worries, forget all our problems,
Your eyes will hold a mystery I have not yet seen and I will sing of fate, love and dreams.
Follow me to the place of dreams, where all our imaginings have become reality,
The wind does speak, does dance with your hair, brushes your cheek and further you fall.
Feel such a rush at loves first touch, a feeling that rocks your soul, in love with the world and the way it twirls, around and around your heart.
What’s not to love in this magical place, with redemption, hope, smiles and grace?
Looking at the wrong for so long has made you hallow, follow your heart and not your mind, be open to love and soon you’ll find, everyday has the promise of tomorrow.
Follow me to the place of dreams, where all our reality become imaginings,
Nothing is real, not the hatred or spite we feel, and we are all just leaves floating amongst the breeze.

Sweet Shadows

Shadows, falling on the street, shadows staring up at me, all I seem to see, are sweet shadows.
You walked out my door; I swear my heart can’t take anymore, so I’m left with my sweet shadows.
Words that we spoke and now all the hurt my heart holds, piercing silence and sweet shadows.
Seasons change, falling leaves, the wind blows, my heart grieves, my only company, my sweet shadows.
One quick glance into my life, all the change and the strife one strange constant fight and sweet shadows.
One Glimmer of hope fly’s my way, I grab on but it slips away, once again I shall stay, with my sweet shadows.
Memories burn, calm the flame, don’t come back I don’t need the pain; my pleasure to remain, with my sweet shadows.
Shadows, falling on the street, shadows staring up at me, all I seem to be, one sweet shadow.

Fantasical Fantasy

Surging fire upon the land,
A dragons breath close at hand.
The gleam of a sword may catch your eye,
Or the sound of a siren, sweet cries.
Elevish sorcery in your midst,
A beautiful illusion caught up in your tryst.
Beyond the darkness beauty lies,
Cascading white rocks hypnotize.
Still around the corner, there may wait,
A new road, or a secret gate.

Love Dances

What a sweet cry into delusional love this may be,
Many say it is imaginary and yet I have seen it, I have felt it.
The poets’ heart within me had cried for such a love,
The love that cannot be held could not be faked.

So suddenly you swept me up in my dull life,
I could not help but be tamed.
From taming my wild heart you tamed the very soul I keep.
I knew I could never truly love another.
My very heart and soul was taken in your kiss,
Knowing I could never feel the same with any other.

A larks song could never sound as sweet as your love, as your voice,
The way it dances within my ear, one might think I was deaf to any other until now.
Your eyes, holding the only comfort I’ve ever been able to grasp,
The only stability, I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing.
True love, the only thing I would ever bet my life upon,
And the only thing I could fully give you in return.

A Gamble of the Heart

Such a crying shame, this song is over played,
And the progress we’ve made is now shoved down the drain.
Some of us win, some of us lose,
Whose back was stabbed first?
Who’s quicker to move?
Who’s genuine and honest, which one’s telling lies,
How many have fallen, how many have cried?
They say “wild horses couldn’t drag me away”.
How many of us commit,
How many of us stray?
Who’s willing to sacrifice, for the one they love,
Who’s waiting for a sign to show up from above?
Some people win, some people lose,
Some people can’t decide, others simply choose.
Love can be a losing game, with the right one you might win,
Since nothing is certain, you simply hold the choice to begin.

The Significance of New Love

I'm running towards something, I don't quite understand,
If I don’t quit, will you hold on to my hand,
And if there's something between us, that doesn't make sense,
Will you hold on to me, till we both melt in?
You've inspired something within me, that I can't quite explain,
You've stoked the fire, and re-lit the flame,
And within my heart, you're only to blame,
You've captured my love, once again.
The stars in the sky now have a new shine,
And for once in my life, I feel that they're mine,
Looking into your eyes, I become intertwined,
Everything that you are, I thought I couldn't find.
An emotion like this, you can't really miss,
Once again I'm alive, and submerged into bliss,
Terrified but excited, this reminiscent abyss,
I completely disappear, lost in your kiss.

Sweet Release

All the memories of us are beginning to fade; no longer can I recall what had made me stay.
And all the things I had thought to be true, are now fading with the sour remembrance of you.
What once was a free bird taking flight, now the same bird that has lost the will to fight.
The fiery love that we once had, now seems so dull, so thoughtless, so drab.
You never were passionate, you never ran deep, the only things I can remember are the things that made me weep.
In an iron fist you held me, never to let go, as my breath began to quicken, my heartbeat beginning to slow.
With all the effort I was putting in, I thought we would rise above it, I thought we would win.
I’m fortunate to say you have proved me wrong, and all the love I once held, I thank god is now gone.
