Last Call

Welcome friends,
And thanks for coming,
To my farewell party,
The last one of ‘em all.
Don’t be sad,
Please be happy.
For I can assure you,
I had a ball.

Remember, the good times,
The fun and the laughter.
The trying times,
When life was just, but, a game.
Remember the sad times,
The hurt and the sorrow.
And I do apologise,
If I caused you pain.

But now it’s over.
I’ve come full circle.
The sun no longer,
Shines on me.
But, in my heart,
And, in my soul,
Is contentment
So, let it be.

Now, I must go, for
The bells are tolling
It’s now my time,
It’s now my calling.
So, I raise my glass,
And, say three cheers.
Please don’t forget me,
In the coming years.

Do hear the music,
It’s fading now.
My song is over,
I take a final bow.
The curtain closes,
There’s no encore.
The stage is empty,
There’s no more.

Now hear the silence,
As it fills the hall.
My name, is whispered,
T’is me they call.
It’s time to go,
To leave you all.
Just don’t forget,
I had a ball.

Sammy the Seagull

Awk, AWk, AWK,
Goes the seagull
Every morning
At 5.35

Awk, AWk, AWK,
It's exasperating
Provoking,
Maddening

Awk, AWk, AWK,
It's enticing
Alluring
Me

Awk, AWk, AWK,
To get a 12 bore
Take aim
BOOM
(silence)

Death, Under the Radar

Drones,
Silent with
The gaze of a Peregrine
Falcon, that
Descends
Surely, swiftly,
Bringing death.
No trial by law,
Just obliteration.
And like the Peregrine,
It knows no borders.

I Succumb

Dreaming disturbed
Heart arrhythmic
Breathing askew
Aimless wanderings
Of the mind
You witch, bewitcher
You've enchanted me
With your assiduous
Assault upon my being
Albeit foolishly
I let you in
With apprehension
Betwixt the passage
Of my cage of ribs
And allowed you
To stroke my heart
But only
For a little while
As it is so tender
So sensitive
So guarded
To the guiles, the
Wily wanderings
Of love.
I marvel
I fear that
The sharpness
Of cupid's
Unseen arrow
Has once more
Breached my
Defences
And i must
Surely
But, slowly
Surrender
To that opium
Called
Love

Death, of An Alzheimer's Victim

A coin tossed
By father and son.
The father lost,
The son, won

Father approached
His wife so dear,
His eyes brimming
With saddened tears.

And on the bed,
His love did lay.
And from his lips
His soul did say

Oh, darling wife
I'll miss you so
But I'll keep my promise,
And let you go.

She did not speak,
Nor did she cry.
But, did release
A forlorn sigh.

Goodbye, my moon,
My star, my sun.
Then left the room,
And in came son

Oh, darling mother
Pearl of mine.
Let me hug you,
Let us entwine.

Thank you dearest,
For your love divine,
Please forgive me
Oh, mother of mine.

With heavy heart,
And loving grace.
He placed the pillow
Upon her face...

Underground

It's dark in here
Dead boring too
My neighbours don't talk much
I'm floating in a puddle
Of putrefied juices
That have percolated
Through the billion
Pores of my back
It stinks in here
No ventilation at all

A persistent
Hard-shelled beetle
Has been trying to enter
My ass-hole
For the last half-hour
He's beginning to bug me
Wish I could clench
My ass-cheeks
And squish the bugger
But, I'm helpless

I just have to lie
There and take it
Endure the centipedes
Millipedes, slithering
Burrowing, across my
Brain, from left ear
To right, feeding
On my mind
Won't be long
Till they start on my mind

How the hell
Am I supposed to
Rest in peace?
More like ...piece by piece
That beetle has given up
On my sphincter
Whew....
Wait a minute
He's scurrying
Towards my balls.

Black

Black, majestic,

Canvas of the

              Universe

Black, seen,

But,
              Untouched

Black, owns

The night,

              Infinite.

A Glimpse

One day
I saw
Up high
Above, a
Discernable shape
Of a Golden Eagle,
Scavenger supreme,
Gliding solitary,
Amid a sky
Of cerulean hue.
Suddenly,
It veered left,
Diminishing,
In height,
Then sight,
Finally receding,
Beyond
The Mountain
Of Bennachie.

De Profundis

I hunger,
For my youth.
For those lazy,
Hazy, crazy,
Sperm-filled days.
When my eyes
Feasted with devilment,
Instead of mockery,
Upon the young
School of nymphs
That swam up
And down the corridors
Like silver darlings
Of the sea

The wonderment
Puzzlement
Of the flesh.
Memories of
Soft bouncy buttocks,
Budding breasts
Licentious legs
That tormented,
Teased, pleased
That frenzied, wild
Stirrings of my loins.
How i loved life then,
With it's silent promise
Of great things to come.

The Coming

It is coming
Slowly, gradually
But as sure as
The next
Dawn rises
On the
Eastern horizon
Something bad
Comes this way.
Beware of the
Calm, before
The
Storm.

The pitiful screams
From the abattoirs
Of those
Born in the
Genetic labs
Have reached a
Crescendo
The chimeras
Rebel.
Beware of the
Calm, before
The
Storm.

The multitudinous
Spewed from the
Wombs for
Reasons, unknown
Gasp and splutter
Starve, cry and
Bewail their
Forced, wretched
Existence.
Beware of the
Calm, before
The
Storm.

The earth’s withered
Veins
Sucked dry
Of its
Black blood, now
Yields silence
And engines cease
To a grinding
Whine.
Beware of the
Calm, before
The
Storm.

The Black Rhino snorts
The Tiger laughs
The beagle
Smokes his last
And deep
In the mountains
Of Cameroon
The gorilla sleeps
Gently in the night.
Beware of the
Calm, before
The
Storm.
