Anneliese Bose Poem
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
In the pout of the lips,
The curve of a shoulder,
Fresh flesh of the young,
Beauty’s elitist domain.
Eyes sparkling and huge,
Skin free from life’s pain,
No creases or lumps,
A complexion of smooth porcelain,
Ageing the ultimate crime,
The real woman’s shame
Beauty and youth are for sale,
Go under the knife, get some more –
If Beauty is only skin deep,
Ugliness goes right down to the core,
Look 50 when you’re 70,
No need to grow up or behave,
Perfect geriatric Barbies,
Pouting dead in the grave

Anneliese Bose Poem
Last night I had a funny dream,
It really made me laugh;
I dreamt I was a fly on the wall
As Jim Morrison had a bath!
I heard him sing his famous songs
That went to number one,
But when the bubbles in his bath dissolved
Was when I had great fun!
With all the myths that surround this star.
I can only say one thing,
With no bubbles left, I could tell,
Why he was called "The Lizard King!"

Anneliese Bose Poem
I loved you -
I hate you!
And now I can’t wait to
See you fall from grace - like the stupid fool that you are -
(Right on cue)
That perfect mouth
I once kissed
Now just looks slack
And I’m pissed
That others even listen
To the phoney nonsense you spew!
Those big muscled arms
That once saved me from harm
Seem to drag with your knuckles
On the floor,
And those dumb little jokes
That you share with all folks
Are banal embarrassments
And, believe me,
A BORE!
You walk towards me,
I seethe!
What a nerve!
I can’t breathe!
“Get Lost!”
I manage to hiss
In front of me you stand, -
then grab hold of my hand!
I’ll hit you!
(I swear I won’t miss!)
You pull me tight to your chest
My heart pounds in my breast
What are you doing?
Good God up above!!
Your lips then meet mine
More potent than wine,
My heart melts –
I have fallen in love!

Anneliese Bose Poem
Little golden cups of sunlight nod,
Swirling flimsy butter-yellow skirts in the wind
Dipping deeply in a curtsey
To an unseen God
A rippling rush
Of whispering gold.

Anneliese Bose Poem
A cloud of scarlet and crimson petals
Spill down from above,
Pirouetting delicately
As they clasp the breeze
In a silent, fluttering waltz.
Drips of colour stain sherbet white snow,
Blossoming chaotically
As the legion of scandal - red petals
Pour relentlessly down.
Flowers for the living.
