Ballerina Feet

It burns, but they marvel as I dance on fire.

Oh, what an exchange for the price I pay.

There's an ugly truth to the game I play.

Sister Satire

I can't help but feel idol.

The roles that I am offered are recycled.

My inhibitions are exacerbated by "tradition".

The chains have evolved into metaphors and weapons turned into words

Blame is only pointed at the 2nd and the 3rd...point of view.

You're rich but you dont know the point of YOU?

Are these the people that our children look up to?

Now in my mind, I redefine the very things that shame me.

Slurs and other stereotypes...they try to taint me.

They judge anothers life style as if they were a saint, see?

...Satire, sister Satire? Cures them with a reflection!

Rule and Never Conquer

Don't fall off of that iron horse!

They'll devour their king.

What song will you sing when the pendulum swings?

Every tyrant should fear the pendulum's swing.

It'll rain backwards and tears will fall back into their eyes.

They'll remember your treachery, they'll bury you alive.

They'll howl as the moon shines on your demise.

What song will you sing when they devour their king?

Every tyrant should fear the pendulum's swing.

Gladiator

our skills..talents..gifts,that we have..
these are our tools..weapons..instruments
and we just want to live..
put into a situation in wich we did not choose our roles..
some of us are the fans and the royalty
they watch people like me do what needs to be done...
people like me..we just want to live
so we use our weapons and do what we have to..
we didnt choose for it to be like this..
we watch the fortunate crowd the seats of this coliseum called life..
and they watch us jump back and forth through shades of color..
they judge us...
but we just want to live

Innuendo's of My Reality

Innuendo's of my reality,

The trends of this society, the culture itself, mocks my presence, my existence, and my essence.

The truth about how I am really perceived not only as a black man, but as a Haitian is ignored, overlooked, and well hidden.

Carbon Foot Print

im living in a world where art is basically plasma

where imagery, and double entandres bring asthma

my vision's metaphorical,i swim through stanzas

and to have lack of substance is to breathe in cancer.

its seems now-days dropping knowledge is a crime-

in a literate way,i litter it

but who reads any ways, might as well be illiterate

technology's the new thing i just might consider it...

and let my words go cyber

my poetry's nutritous, brings your mindset fiber

oh,gosh put a mussle on his brain-he's a problem

im the answer,go and ask a mathematical problem

silence...r.i.p to Emmy Noether, while were on that subject^.

the things in our society just seem so suspect..

apologies for all the waisted time you just spent

but you just witnessed the making of my carbon foot print

Dye My Soul

A pain of the deepest dye is seeing myself when I look at you, So I'll give the devil his due.

We all have flaws, though I don't do what you do.

Some things hurt too bad to sleep on. Some things are too real to speak on, but I feel and I see. There isn't much that sets you apart from me.

The Day the Kettle Called Me Black-Back

the day the kettle called me black-back,
we had some thing in common
"them drugs never lied,
and triggers don't pull them selves.
time never turned a wife into a whore,
hate never told the blinded racist minds to abhor."

My Forever

My Forever, I put so much into you because I want to live forever through you.

Speak of me when the sun rest it's eye on you, Shield me from the light.

Shield me from the judgment as my truth finds shelter in your shade.

Tell my story and let it be great. They see themselves when they judge me.

You really know me, you love me.

Be my forever when I'm gone, Love me even if I'm wrong.

Guilt

Dancing down my spine.
Stealing all my sleep, it is.
Clawing at my soul.
