A Smile, To Me

Features relaxed into a pleased, kind or
gently skeptical expression; with the lips
parted and corners of mouth are turned up.

The food of Love, the whisper of a laugh,
an inexpensive way to improve one's looks.

The first three lines are two definitions
lines four and five are quotable definitions
for the infinitely beautiful word smile.

Among those are these original one's that
were hatched upon meeting you and resides
perpetually in it's prime, there forever.

The partner of happiness, best time to see
anothers teeth, most ancient and honest way
the face exudes the raw form of happiness.
        -My quotable definitions-

The universal expression that one's face
lights up, reflecting that of shear joy,
feature that can never have a shelf life,
pain caused on my face from soreness
from staying in the smile position that
automatically occurs on a mere thought of you.
        -My dictionary definitions-

Your Photogragh, Your Picture

Using the superlative of cameras, the one that sits atop
With backdrop of a sunset, a sunrise or a majestic waterfall
Dressed and done up so radiant, proof of God is what you are
Unfamiliar, never shuttered in the annals of photography
                       Profuse beauty attained is in
                                                                         your photograph
However shear the disbelief, amazingly there is contention
It is my depiction of you. Assisted only by canvas, brushes,
paints, a stool, a stand, the whole of me and the grace of God
                       Your presence is not necessary
For in my mind your image dwells, unlike the aforementioned
thus begins the transferring, by way of my mind, my eyes,
my hands, to my brushes, my colors then blesses the canvas
                        All of which seem ordained
Culminating with the you I see, behind no lens, behind my eyes
proving the immaculate photograph only hints on your beauty
                       Exquisite elegance ever immense is
                                                                                 your picture

Once

On top of the world
                       I felt once was I
                   I honestly had everything
                       that money couldn't buy
I'd hold my head up so high
because I had you, no lie
                  From you being the answers
                       to my every "why?"
                  To never having the ablity
                       in any way to deny
me of your ever Loving Love
                       You couldn't even try
Even when I would sound off
                       or wouldn't even reply
Acting like I wouldn't care if
                        our Love was to die
The above reasons are proof of
                        the route you came by
the most heavenly of all routes
                        you came from the sky

So Shall It Be

So shall it be, that is what they say
for set in stone means set to stay
always be a tomorrow, like a today
Only thing I could do... is pray
Forgive me Lord for going astray.

Feels like I've lived multiple lifetimes
fraught with nothing but inclines
My life was fractious, I had two minds

On my well traveled legs, I stand
of flesh and blood, I am man
My Lord, My God, is My Plan

Please take this life I know
back to the assembly line to go
to become a seed ready to grow
to find what it is that I do need so
So shall it be is good and that I know.

Is There Only One "someone?"

There is someone for everyone
I do believe this to be true.
But what becomes of the one
whose "someone " has come and gone?
Without no one to Love
he can no longer be strong.
Now left to drift, unable to soar
had wings to fly, when too immature.
Nor a "someone" or an "everyone"
he will never again be.
Guilty of only being too young
was enough to cost him his only.
For this he will serve a life sentence
in the prison of lonely.
To wear the title of a "someone"
is what he longs most for
but this he cannot have no more
For this was something once he wore.
Deprived of this forever shall he be
though his special "someone" is still special
only a special "someone" is not he.
