Ocean Dreams

The bright radiant sun hits me thru
the oddly shaped clouds
Hot crystal like sand beneath my feet.
The soft touch of the ocean's breeze,
glad we could meet.

The waves crash ashore- mother natures
band.
I feel free as the angry tide tugs at
my hand.
Into the ocean I go
Swim against the tide
Let the waves take you for a midnight ride
Swim towards the moon
Yeah, I'll make it if I try
As I listen to the ocean cry.

Cowboys and Indians

Black rain, enclosed with pain and nothing
left to gain.
Dark clouds disguise the sun, under the
moon stands a guy with a gun.
His mental state is altered, his voice
on display, a cowboy out to play.
He strains to find the words to
speak.

In the end he will pretend
His hospitality overrated, he has a
helping hand to lend.
He points and aims, squeezes the trigger
At this shady character, that passing
figure.

The soldier of the damp and cold
night
His eye's blinded by the flash of
a neon light.
The crowd frozen with disbelief,
citizens and self proclaimed soldiers
of peace, the Indians too.
The night has just begun, the moon silently
creeping through the oddly shaped clouds.

The drumming of ancient tribes pierce
the night with they're thunderous sound.
Dancing under the moon on the cold
wet ground.

Cowboys out west, Indians out
east.
Times of violent outbreaks followed by
times of peace.

Reborn

I want to see things not as they appear,
but, rather, how they really are.
Too many people see the shadow
of a figure
I want to see the actual figure.
I have found that the truth is not real
and what's real is not the truth.
What is the truth, you ask.

Let me describe the perfect setting

It's dark outside and the forest is
lit by the moon
Grab you're poision and injest it
Let go of you're mind and let
mother nature do the rest.
It's a beautiful and pure euphoria getting
in touch with her knowledge.

In that moment you'll have and intense
visitation of freedom
You are born, you are free
Lock that feeling away in you're soul,
Throw away the key.

American Pride

White nights, black days
Humanity as we know it, deceased?
Gods creatures have converted to greed
Strange days, stranger nights indeed
The day after holds only truth
The day before only lies
Oh, that good old American pride

Death is easy, it's harder to live
So let's stop taking revenge and start to forgive
Up in smoke, a ring of fire
Fortune and fame is society's desire
Money and morals start to collide
Oh, that good old American pride

Politician's filth, exploiters of the poor
Religions unite to help start a war
What if we had no religion to die for?
Why not hear the silent man's cry
Oh, that good old American pride

Campers Delight

Creatures howling at the moon under
the midnight stars.
Indians rain dancing just below the
mountain top.
Campers getting high in they're
tent, outside a bonfire is lit.
The ghost of the forest telling stories
by the fire.

I awoke to the sound of the wind,
whispering like a scared naive
child.
I put on an ancient mask from the
chiefs gallery, and walked into
the dark.
Strolling through the wilderness blindly.
Raindrops leading my way through
this unknown paradise, and I,
I feel alright.

American Thoughts

Have you ever been lost in a maze of your
own wondering thoughts?
Have your dreams ever become reality and
has reality ever become a dream?
Do you hear the echo of shots and are
you willing to give it a try?
Listen to the mother, the father, the children cry!
This is the world we live in
An everlasting chaotic sin.

Death is all around us, tomorrow is
never promised.
Reach out and touch the ground, let the
green grass tickle your naked feet.
Now let go of your fears, figure out
where yesterday and tomorrow meet.
Slip into unconsciousness underneath
the stars.
Dream of the Milky Way just below
Mars.

Has your brain ever tricked you and have
you ever tricked your brain?
What if day and night were one in the same?
What is your name and do you play
the game?
Are you confused or do you have
a clear mind?
Does the moon really glow, does the sun
ever shine?

In these greedy times, the lies are the truth
and the truth is a lie.
It's the illusion of good overcome by
the trickery of evil.
These are American thoughts
Where lies are bought and winless
wars are fought.
My American thoughts.

I am free, even with my eye's closed
I can see.
I am me, I am free, I am born
My fragile eggshell brain enclosed by
my American thoughts.

Can you hear them, do you feel them?
Were you born and are you alive?
Are you free and have you died?
Has the truth been spoken and has the
truth ever lied?
When it does will you listen or will you
speak your mind?
Do you have American thoughts like mine?

Poets Scroll

Underneath the stars watching the moon's glow
Sit's a hidden poet letting his mind flow
This life is full of everything I wish I didn't know
So I envision my very own picture show

I'm going to take a trip, a trip to that big moon light
I'm going to cruise the city, I'm going to steal the night
I'm going to wreak havoc on everything in sight
Let's set fire to everything fake and keep what is real
Let's rob the web of disillusion, yeah let's steal

Another night gone, another day shared
Lies are truth, truth is lies, yeah, we're all impaired
Whoever controls the media controls your thoughts
Where the truth hides and lies can be bought

Let me behind your eyes, let me pierce your soul
Where your free to think, think to be free, let your thoughts roll
Your mind is free to wonder, ponder, to be in control
Let you be you, not another me, never be dull
That's the lost definition of my hidden poets scroll

It Is What It Is

There's danger on the edge of town

           Just past the souless hiway

On the corner of oil and war

Love Child

Birkdale Village
             Spring time
Drunken nights, sleepless days, rides
to nowhere
A time I don't recall,
thanks girls for taking care of me
Racing naked into the pool, underneath the moon.
Stars lit up the clear, calm, night air.

Footprints in the sand,
                       lending me your hand.
Reach out and touch something,
                                      feel something.

Thanks again for taking care of me
Just a walk away from the love tree,
sat me (the poet) and you (my lover)
A forbidden romance, fueled by our
burning desire for one another.

We were having to much fun to put
out the fire.
Our magical seven month affair.

        We broke through the window
Yeah, we knocked on the door
but, our love would not answer
anymore.
So, my fair child
        let go, go wild
It's now summer and it's
getting warm
We no longer have each other to hold.
I will always love you
until we meet in the next life,
Goodbye,
     I had fun.

My Average Summer Day

As I take a breath of the fresh morning air,
just over the horizon- The sun rises
The birds are chirppin'- cars are
driving
As I exhale my first breath-it hits
me
The vast foggy morning heat comes
across my body.
What happen'd to spring? Why the sudden
heat?

Perhaps a change in climate- In humans?
Maybe it has always been like this?
These are questions I ask myself as
my thoughts drift further from reality
and deeper into my curiosity for
the unknown.

I've always been infatuated with walking
thru doors without knowing what's on
the other side.
You could say: I'm a truth seeker.
