Love Child
Birkdale Village
Spring time
Drunken nights, sleepless days, rides
to nowhere
A time I don't recall,
thanks girls for taking care of me
Racing naked into the pool, underneath the moon.
Stars lit up the clear, calm, night air.
Footprints in the sand,
lending me your hand.
Reach out and touch something,
feel something.
Thanks again for taking care of me
Just a walk away from the love tree,
sat me (the poet) and you (my lover)
A forbidden romance, fueled by our
burning desire for one another.
We were having to much fun to put
out the fire.
Our magical seven month affair.
We broke through the window
Yeah, we knocked on the door
but, our love would not answer
anymore.
So, my fair child
let go, go wild
It's now summer and it's
getting warm
We no longer have each other to hold.
I will always love you
until we meet in the next life,
Goodbye,
I had fun.
