Ariel Duarte Poem
It feels like I'm waiting.
But I don't know what for.
Still feel I'm existing.
Nothing else but my soul.
Got mixed in the chaos;
Lost myself in the crowd.
Ended up in the distance,
Now there's no one around.
I sit with my thoughts and,
I swirl them around;
'Til they're bouncing off the walls,
Eventually knocking me down.
So I look in the mirror,
To regather myself.
And remember how in life,
All you have is yourself.
Willing to keep going;
Every day like before.
I still feel like I'm waiting.
But I don't know what for.

Ariel Duarte Poem
The other day someone...
Asked me if I knew,
The feeling of true love...
And all it can do.
I turned up my nose...
As I laughed with delight.
Love isn't for this man,
For he likes to have pride.
The question in haunting...
As I head for the night.
Thinking no one's becoming,
A new part of my life.
It's not that I'm stubborn,
I can surely play nice.
But when life reaches its sharp turns,
I prefer my own advice.
Secure in my conclusion,
Our paths cross for the first.
I can feel the intrusion,
For it's you I now thirst.
I do things, such as...
Singing to myself.
Emotions keep racing fast.
I admit, I need help.
I stare out the window.
All day and all night.
Don't know where the time goes,
As I long for your sight.
I sleep with the phone now.
Answer with first ring.
Can't tell you, that of how,
The person I'm becoming.
You make me feel different...
You make me feel shy.
I tremble in pure sweat,
You're my fix, you're my high.
Surrender myself only,
To that, of your presence.
Ending feeling lonely.
To me, makes no sense.
I tell you the real low...
And you seem to agree.
Don't think you feel me though,
But with you I must be.
Going in big circles...
I am seeming to do.
When calling for you does not work,
Feeling lost without you.
You must be the one to ,
Make me taste my own medicine.
For all of the others who,
I gave nothing but stressin'.
So, back to the question...
If love I once knew,
I think now I should mention...
I met love, when I met you.

Ariel Duarte Poem
It's only the time,
That I come to mind,
When smoke gets in your eyes.
Then you come my way,
Taking time from your day,
To visit, and make someone smile.
When I look for you,
All I have to do,
Is look for that smoky design.
You probably don't know,
How my trust for you grows,
Everytime that your glance catches mine.
And when we're in the midst,
Kicking back just like this,
My everything feels resolved.
Although sometimes I do get blue,
Thinking I can't have you,
I'm still happy that you're in my life.
It is no surprise,
How I breakdown inside,
Everytime I can't see past the smoke.
So, I'll stay content,
With all I can get,
With one glance from your smoky brown eyes.

Ariel Duarte Poem
You used to live so differently,
Had peace inside your heart.
Now you think subconsciously,
The girl you were is so far.
You had so many things to call your own,
Went anywhere your heart desired,
Now you feel you're all alone,
Those thoughts just get you tired.
You sit and think of all you had,
Feeling like you're just no good.
This feeling is what makes you sad,
If you could go back in time, you would.
A bond like ours I've never had,
Back then for me, you were too good.
Sitting here now makes me feel glad,
To know that I can help your moods.
Since we came here, you've been my friend,
Have been through so much time.
The way we kick it now, will one day end,
Becoming memories in our minds.
An impact you have made on me,
So strong I won't forget.
When you go back to how it used to be,
I hope these times you won't regret
I don't regret all these moments we've had,
You know I never left your side.
I tried my best to keep you glad,
While the others chose to hide.
This poem is meant for you to keep.
To read when you are down.
And in years to come, when you can't sleep,
Remember, through your worst, I stuck around.

Ariel Duarte Poem
Hold me close. Never let me go.
Right now, your touch is what I need the most.
Let's put aside, the world we've come to know.
Focusing on each other, as we stand alone.
The moment's so perfect, the feeling's so right.
Our mixture of bodies, together all night.
Heartbeats are thumping, as we lock onto eyes.
I see passion inside them, a fire on the rise.
There's no returning, now that we've come this far.
The ride's just beginning, time to explore us all.
Your flesh is what I'm tasting, always hoped that I would.
Could this really be happening? Seeming so very good?
Our moment was eternal, now engraved in my mind.
I could stay with you, do this for all time.
But something is calling, pulling in separate ways.
Still passing each other, not too far astray.
Laying back in your arms, smiles wide with delight.
I love it when you are mine for all night.
Don't ever forget me, always come around.
When you're feeling lonely, in this needy town.
