You
The other day someone...
Asked me if I knew,
The feeling of true love...
And all it can do.
I turned up my nose...
As I laughed with delight.
Love isn't for this man,
For he likes to have pride.
The question in haunting...
As I head for the night.
Thinking no one's becoming,
A new part of my life.
It's not that I'm stubborn,
I can surely play nice.
But when life reaches its sharp turns,
I prefer my own advice.
Secure in my conclusion,
Our paths cross for the first.
I can feel the intrusion,
For it's you I now thirst.
I do things, such as...
Singing to myself.
Emotions keep racing fast.
I admit, I need help.
I stare out the window.
All day and all night.
Don't know where the time goes,
As I long for your sight.
I sleep with the phone now.
Answer with first ring.
Can't tell you, that of how,
The person I'm becoming.
You make me feel different...
You make me feel shy.
I tremble in pure sweat,
You're my fix, you're my high.
Surrender myself only,
To that, of your presence.
Ending feeling lonely.
To me, makes no sense.
I tell you the real low...
And you seem to agree.
Don't think you feel me though,
But with you I must be.
Going in big circles...
I am seeming to do.
When calling for you does not work,
Feeling lost without you.
You must be the one to ,
Make me taste my own medicine.
For all of the others who,
I gave nothing but stressin'.
So, back to the question...
If love I once knew,
I think now I should mention...
I met love, when I met you.
