Colours of the Rainbow

Colours of the Rainbow Purple, Green, Pink, Blue. Tell me what these mean to you. Blue, Black, Gold, White. Remind me of the dark, dark night. Red, Orange, and Yellow hues. The colours of my favorite shoes. Brave, Beautiful, Strong, Precious are these. Rising on the fresh spring breeze.

Dragon Howler

There once was a dragon named Bob
Who liked to eat corn on the cob
                                                  But alas without luck
                                           That great corncob got stuck
The dentist now has a big job

Animals

A duck, a beaver
both swimmers, both fast.

A cardinal, a blue jay
with the feathers that last.

a bulldog, a bear
they both have hair.

A pony, a horse
and maybe a mare?

Trees and Leaves

Trees and Leaves Tall, groping giants. Streching higher with branches. Bark like rough blanket. Falling, slowly down. Looping down to forest floor. Like crunchy blanket. From branches to ground. Shooting up sprouting leaves. Trees and leaves unite.

The Painted Sunset

coming home
day is done
my cold bones
creak with sorrow
the only thing that keeps me together
Sunrise

red gold pinks yellows
a tinge of purple here
a tinge of blue there
Sunrise
