She Wants Thursday Back

She wishes she didn't have to see him tonight.
True, she likes him,
but their Thursdays are never good.
Always spent trying to get under
each others skin.
It's a game
they play.
No one ever really wins.
He may think he wins,
but, no.
She tries to keep her composure,
around him,
while they play this game.
It's hard.
Almost as hard,
as trying to give him up.
He doesn't know
she's trying.
He thinks she's mad
at him.
She doesn't get mad,
only upset and disappointed.
One day,
one of them,
will end up hurt.
She tries
not to let it be her.
She tries so hard
not to tell herself,
how she feels.
She knows,
She just won't say it.
In the end
she doesn't want to end
up wrong and hurt.
She wants to win.
She wants her own heart back,
and,
maybe,
just to leave,
a little soft spot in his.

Recollection

Someone come and wake me from this nightmare where i sleep
Where the moon becomes the darkness as the sun begins to weep.
I've been searching for myself.
I've been looking all around.
While the sky is now below me
My head's up in the ground.
Come and wake me now
from this nightmare where I stay.
I'm dreaming as I'm dormant
of the light of precious day.
I hear a voice so faint,
but in this darkness I can't see.
I call out and I hear,
I am awake and you are me.
