The End

Was it my jealous ways
That drove you away?
Was it the constant bickering?
Or the endless snickering?
Our love began to weaken,
with every passing weekend.
More than 100 smiles a day,
even with you being 333 miles away.
See the reason I’m like this,
is because I tried to fight it.
I wasn’t lookin for a relationship,
but your love came out of no where,
Like an extraterrestrial spaceship.
At first I didn’t care,
my feelings just weren’t there,
but then you snuck up and stole my heart,
Something that I didn’t want to happen from the start.
The more I got to know you, the more I gave in,
to the feelings welling up inside me.
But now we're facing the end.
The end of us.

Mold

People are infatuated with the idea of being in love.
Searching for something they aren't truly ready to find.
'Just a person, one person who understands me for me.
A person who wont try to change the life inside of me.'
I don't need the emotion of love to make me complete.
As long as i'm alive, well and happy that's all I need.
Love brings heartache, we want it to be perfect.
It never is, it can never be.
We force and push and pull for something that isn't meant to be.
In the end we are left with pain, heartache and grief.
Love is a free form, meant to be appreciated and nurtured.
Yet we capture and confine it to fit our mold.
A perfect mold in our minds.
Love becomes cramped, stressed and sick.
We hold on never wanting to let go.
Love breaks free and escapes its prison.
We are left now with a heartbroken vision.
Years pass, tears fall.
Our perfect vision is no longer
We grow bitter thinking we’re growing stronger.
Love gives us another chance
Hesitantly welcome it.
The cycle begins again
We grab it and begin to mold.
When will we learn, when will it get old?

Fell In Love

I was walking along minding my business and it happend.
I fell, hard.
I got up dusted myself off and continued on my way.
Later on I stumbled a couple of times
As if some force was pushing me so I would fall again.
It wasnt until a couple of weeks later that
I realized I hadnt been down that road in a while.
I thought about the time I fell and how I felt no pain.
I wish that was the case now, I looked at my knee and there it was,
a bruise, as if on cue the pain began.
As I stared at my bruise, it along with the pain began to vanish before my eyes.
I grabbed my chest as the pain shot through my heart.
A pain that only you can take away, if you're willing.

Trapped By Your Love

"Get over him!" they say, but how? its hard
sharing, loving, kissing, touching, missing him? yes
laughing, hugging, smiling, bugging, love leads to pain
fighting, yelling, cursing, screaming
do you need space? crying, hurting, wishing, yearning
will it ever be the same?
hating, avoiding, bad-mouthing, ignoring
will it ever end? only time will tell...
We're both in a box surrounded by love,
you gave up twice but I never gave up,
our love was like a baby,
real and brand new,
as we nurtured it, it grew.
remember the box I mentioned before?
well I'm in it by myself now,
only half the love is there.
WHY? because you stepped out.
I'M IN PAIN!
WHY? cause on your way out you stepped on my heart,
after you broke it.

Dreaming With a Broken Heart

I’m dreaming with a broken heart
because you tore it apart.
The pain is too deep
for me to wake up from my sleep.
The things you promised the things you said,
you did a good job at filling up my head.
If I could sleep forever and live in my dreams
I think I’d be happier or so it would seem.
I’m dreaming with a broken
because you tore it apart.
I’m dreaming with a broken heart
because you didn’t want it from the start.

Should We Take a Chance

It’s harder than I thought,
This whole falling for you thing.
See 'cause I’ve been in front of you the whole time,
I think you see me but you don’t see me.
Get it? No? Ok it’s like this,
I’m those floating spots you sometimes see.
They’re there but they are not actually there,
I try to show you but you look through.
After a while a person gets tired of being the chaser.
Only 2 things can happen now,
Either you'll open your eyes or I’ll walk away.

I'M All You Got

It seduces me in an attempt to comfort me,

deceiving me of its true purpose.

It stays with me day and night,

wreaking havoc in my mind.

I run from it but its always a few feet behind,

"Leave me the f-ck alone!"

It smiles at my demand,

"I'm all you got."

It begins to draw me in,

I struggle and fight.

It sucks me in faster and deeper

as my screams go unheard.

I fight and beg to be saved

But alas, it's all I've got...

The loneliness that consumes me.

Cycle

Why did i care, when no one else was there?
I may not have seen all your struggles,
but when you needed me, I was there.
We laughed and cried,
together and apart,
We argued and fought,
but still you had my heart.
And through it all our love never fell apart.
That is until the moment you gave her your heart.
You no longer cared for the love that we built,
until the day she left you and you were riddled with guilt.
My heart was at peace til I saw you again,
you ran up and kissed me and the cycle once again began.
The love that we had was born again,
you promise repeatedly that this cycle would end.
And yet here we are a few years later
at the beggining of the end.
Because you've found love with another "she's just a friend"
Leaving me with my broken heart that I have to mend, again.

I Found You

I've done everything I could to reach this moment.
I've shed tears, I've fought battles.
But none of that matters because I found you.
But wait I wonder, do you see me like I see you?
Do you feel for me in the same way I do for you?
I begin to panic as I stare into your eyes.
A wave of uncertainty rushes through me.
I turn and walk away,
before you catch a glimpse of the tears welling up in my eyes.
I feel so alone and stupid.
A TOUCH.
You spin me around hard, yet I land softly into your arms.
You lift my chin and kiss me deeply.
I melt at the sweet taste of your lips.
You wipe away my tears.
You whisper on my lips,
I FOUND YOU. I love you

Without You

You are the disease,
That caused my heart to bleed,
That didn't allow me to be free,
To see what life has instore for me.

You wanted to be my demise,
You tortured me as I sat there and cried,
And when refused to put on your disguise,
Your hatred grew along with your despise.

You wanted to see me fail without you,
But I got up the courage to make it through
In the end I realized it wasn’t me, but you
So I got up the strength to get over you.
