Apple of My Eye

Hair of Red
Eyes of blue
pray the words I've said
say I love you

Apple of my eye
my pride and joy
hate to say bye
to my boy

If only I could stay
teach all I know
you will understand someday
why I have to go

Working men we are
unfortunate but true
careful of the bar
whatever you do

Something Called We

Life at the door
Thats what they say
seem there should be more
than living this way

Wish I could smile
wish for our love to last
seems insane while
I try and put us in the past

You were so kind
when we began
loved your mind
I suppose I still can

Just another friend
someone who experienced me
reached the end
of something called we

Trust

Think I am being blind
to her playing ways
wonder if I see her true side
these past few days

Its like she has a secret
something she can't tell
Somthing I may regret
something to make me bid farewell

What did I get into
on this lonely night
my mind can't trust you
my heart says to fight

Always all or nothing
I tend to give
Just need a little something
to allow me to live

Summer Nap

The grass is green
the sky is blue
I slip into a dream
as I think of you

warm sun
beats down on my face
day is done
time to retreat to a special place

Your hair catches the wind
eyes glimmer in the sun
reminding me of places I have been
all of the fun

I attempt a kiss
and reality I met
This dream I miss
the sun has set

Such a shame
To be rudely awoke
who can I blame
Not a word was spoke

Try to regain sleep
but it is to late
can't catch a wink
time to call for a date

Runt

Hair of blonde
Eyes color of two
to say that I am fond
Does no justice to feelings for you

You look the most like me
although act like me no
the girls seem to see
what we already know

You are a card
no fear for embarrassment
School will be hard
I could see you being charged with harassment

Will have a way with the ladies
This I can already see
stay away from the ones that are crazy
learn the lesson from me

Only Thing Constant Is Change

Passion always fades
love seems to stay
over is this sherade
no time to joke today

People come and go
in your life and out
few get to know
what I am all about

So take a chance
give me your time
maybe just a dance
maybe your heart will be mine

you must believe in something
without me being to blame
constant is nothing
except that life can always change

Bottomless Pit

The pain subsided
as I lifted the drink
space still resided
deeper I still sink

Need a love to take up space
to fill that empty hole
a need to leave this place
to empty my poor soul

Waiting for some sun
to chase my rain
for that I am not the one
only I am to blame

A long game of chess
my life seems to be
lost all my pieces and caused a mess
as you can definately see

My Crown

You can believe in fate
You can believe in destiny
I personally can no longer wait
watching life bypass me

Need to make a stand
giving a meaning to me
need to understand
all I can see

I wonder what I was meant to do
surely not my present occupation
all I want for me is to love you
my driving force, my unfortunate obsession

Must admit I enjoy being alone
at times I feel a little down
all in all I make this choice known
my castle I am king and lonliness my crown

My Angel

Hair of sand
eyes of blue
hope you understand
how I love you

The fear of raising a woman
weighs heavy on my mind
for I have not always been
past loves so kind

I will protect with all I am
try to save you from pain
hope I am a big enough man
not to drive you insane

Believe me when I say
you bring meaning to me
and brighten my day
my little angel Tierney

Winter

I read my words
of my confused past
I still have not heard
I still move to fast

Hasty unthought decisions
and I try to commit
cuts like an incision
at least I can admit

all is back to normal
at least in appearance
as I act formal
and you show tolerance

For what reason
I will never know
winter is my season
the cold will never go

I shall never see the spring
never see my flower bloom
or the robin sing
for I always end happiness to soon
