Amber King Poem
The touch of your hands
the kiss from your lips
All of these things
I wouldn't want to miss
The look in your eyes
when you stare into mine
The thought of knowing
that everything would be fine
The feeling I get
when you hold me near
Pierces my heart
with a jagged spear
The thoughts in my head
run wild and free
As my trembling heart
hits the bottom of the sea
All of these words
I have written for you
Are all the many ways
I feel about you

Amber King Poem
Life has been so hard
without you by my side.
I don't know where you went
but I need you in my life.
I'm stuck here all alone
and it's so dark, yet so cold
that it's deep within my soul
afraid our friendship might unfold.
Your voice has faded away
and your mind has wondered off
will there be a day
when all of this will stop.
My secrets are kept untold
and my feelings do not show
has our friendship been sold
or do you even know.
As hard as I try,
and as hard as I strive.
I keep failing
to keep this alive.
What happened to us
where did we go wrong
why is this so hard to trust
why is it taking so long
Wherever this journey may take us
there is something you should know
Life has been so hard
without you by my side
I don't know where you went
but I need you back in my life.

Amber King Poem
What once was
but can never be
causes me such misery
distorted lies
you spin you fate
so much sorrow
caused by hate
your desperate words
and hurting heart
are all about
to fall apart
why did you quit
when you knew you'd start
I just want to know why
why you had to lie
we tried to help you
stay away
from all the things
that made you fade away
the promises you made
but never kept
are all of the things
my heart has wept
I can't help you
when you push me away
just take my hand
and you'll be okay
I need you back
to play the part
the part you played
from the start
just listen to me
and follow your heart
cause what you do now
could be the beginning
of a new start.
