Hello

You said hello and i ran
you wanted someone to reach out
i pulled back
you wanted someone to listen
i went deaf
you craved company
i left you alone
you had a longing for love
i brought you hate
you wished for help
and i stole all hope
youn said goodbye
now i cry
you wanted to not die
i didn't even try

A Walk To Remember

it was a walk to remember
from a june to november
the way your hand                
 touched my face
the way I could be home
with you any place
no one knows but us
of the quiet moments
and long conversations
just me and you
in our own little creation
that we built
with our once lonely hearts
that became full of love
and we felt it in our guts
and forever kisses
but now its me that misses
your big blue eyes
that told me when you were down
I didn't need a frown or a sound
I knew you that well
I don't want to be broken
of this spell
I want to love you with no end
and then maybe
you could meet me
when you get your wings
and fly with me
holding the hand
that longed for your fingers
and graze the ear
that wanted just a whisper
of care
we will talk of our past
and how you pushed me
on a swing
how you didn't have to 
say a thing
but I just listened
to you breathe
watched over you
when you fell into sleep
a twitch of your finger
were you dreaming of me
do you still dream of me
I dream of you
and everything we went through
the good and the bad
and know somewhere
you still are the man
that helped me stand
when I was too weak to go on
you pushed me through
so how did it go sour
were we just too sad
that it made us mad
did our hearts cripple
and become bitter
I don't know
but what I do is
it was a walk to remember

So innocent
so small
in such a big world
not knowing yet what lays ahead
how things are going to change
his little smile
brightens my day
and shows me it's okay
and there's always a way
his curiosity
has such sincerity
everything is so new
and to him 
the world is beautiful
and to have this child's eyes
and see the world in his way
that everything is an adventure
then you'd want to wake up
to experience every day

Miss You

I missed you today
I missed you yesterday
I will miss you tomorrow
I'll miss you until I see you
when I leave you
I will miss you some more
when you're gone I lose a piece
because you are my heart
I miss you
like an eagle 
would miss the ability to soar
who shall I speak my pain to
who will be there 
to spill my fears to
who can tell me what to do
where is my shoulder
and arms to run to
when there's so much I go through
I'm definitely not me

Gone But Not Gone

Everytime I close my eyes
I see you soaring
and I fly along
your wings
they carry me
and I can smell your sweetness
as your body touches mine
I'll never forget
what you meant
to my soul
that you gave it beauty
at my darkest of hours
you were my stregnth
when I couldn't find the power
in a silent room
I remember it all
as I curl up on a bed
that just seems too large
now that you're gone
I am my only friend
in this reality
it's so hard
when all I stare at are walls
missing those tell all eyes
that stared so deep inside
every morning with you
my ear pressed                         against your chest
hearing that incredible heart beat
now that you've left
I search my mind
to hear the words you gave me
how you saved me
and gave me a lifetime
to love
and just because I can no longer
hold your hand
I can find times
when I'm not alone
if I just close my eyes
I still feel you

Misery

misery
should be renamed life
because i know
it's the way i live
stuck under a black cloud
struck with mourning and grief
deep feelings
wrapped in a blanket
that should comfort
but only burns
in the deepest well
with ungranted wishes
hope and faith
that's been demolished
what should i believe
when i'm covered in this disease
they call freedom
in this trap
they call my mind
the place......
i hold the most darkness
my heart
should shine with light
but all it does is fight
off the demons
i call emotions
the soul
just a hole
emptiness
i want to devour
what makes me smile
but there's not enough
to make me full
when all i have are my words
that make my outsides
not so tough
because i want to release
my troubled blood
and bleed on you
so you understand
just a fraction of my pain
the aching i feel
destroying this 
tender shell of a body
forcing me to age
with every stage
i've gone through
in my short years
this world is seen
as a beautiful place
but i just can't
not without love
not when all there is
is fear
when all i hear
is my own stupidity
floating inside of me
i'm like a tree
among others
swaying in the wind
but i'm just still
if i could only find the will
to be who i need
if i could only
hold my own hand
i could march on
and believe
that this life
is more than just misery

I'm an adult today
my world is upside down

starting on my own

Without You

When I lost you
is when I loved you
I didn't see just what I had
now the love I feel is bad
when we were together
everything about your love 
was good
I didn't understand
so I lost what I didn't know existed
I now probably love alone
because you're hurt
I'm here and you're gone
and our timing was off
because I was ready to love
right after you were ready           to leave
and now I wait and wonder
about our roads
because in our past
I just couldn't believe

If I could reach the sky
I would bring it all home to you
every dream
every wish
all you've ever mentioned
all you've ever questioned
answer it all
and never let you fall
catch you as you break
every piece
keep you in my pocket
safe from all your nightmares
and fear
are you listening?
I'm taking this seriously
I've layed my heart here
on the line
I've opened up for this moment
without completely shutting down
I'm doing this for you
though it's not easy for me
just to breathe
