First Sight

The first sight of him
O my what a breathtaking view.
He is just so very cute.
Is he headed my way?
O, boy what do I do?
Should I stay and try to hold conversation, or
Should I run and hid from his view?
What is it that he could possibly see in me?
I'm just an average chick, not all that cute.
Could it truly be that he is loking at me, or
Am I mistaken and there's someone else that he's got in his view?
O, no it's me, he's headed straight towards me.
He'll be in front of me in 10,9,8
My heart is racing so fast 7,6,5,
What should I do 4,3,
But I can't move, I'm stuck here like glue 2,1,
Now there's nothing I can do.
He's dead in front of me.
I tell myself to speak, to just say hi.
Believe that this fine dude could actually want you.
I finally find the words and we start a conversation.
It was o, so amazing.
We exchanged numbers and said talk to you later
It went from days to weeks to months to years later,
And we're still saying talk to you later.
Because I didn't let fear overcome me.
The first sight of him
O, my what a breathtaking view

Have You Ever

I kno a lot of people that wonder the same thing.
Am I the only one who did this ?
So I wanna ask you have you ever so people kno tat they are not alone.
Have you ever said something that you wish yu could take back?
Have you ever wished that you had the courage to tell someone how you truly felt?
Have you ever wished that you could just be you without being judged?
Have you ever regretted something that you did?
Have you ever wished that you could just be loved unconditionally?
Have you ever got tired of people xpecting you live up to there expectations?
Have you ever stolen something better yet
Have you ever stolen someone's heart and then broke it?
Have you ever had your heart broke, do you remember the pain?
Have you ever had something come up missing or
Caused something to come up missing?
Have you ever cried yourself to sleep at night?
Have youever tried to end your own life?
Have you ever been take advantage of and mistreated?
Have you ever letsomeone control you and the things you do?
Have you ever misjudged someone?
Have you ever wished that you would have taken the time to get to know someone
better?
Have you ever done something out of the ordinary?
Have you ever stepped out on faith?
Have you ever let others know that you believe in God?
Have you ever spoke about God in the streets?
Have ou ever let your light shine?
Have you ever been there for others in their time of need?
I can continue to ask you haveyou ever to so many different things,
So I'll stop hea.
I just had to ask,
Have you ever?

I See

Look into my eyes and tell me what you see,
No, never mind I'll tell you what I see.
I see someone who is very intelligent.
I see someone who is trying to do something with her life.
I see someone who is not out hea trying to make babies, but trying to succeed.
I see someone who puts God first.
I see someone who is not into the streets.
I see someone who takes care of all her responsibilities.
I see someone who isn't afraid to step out on faith.
I see someone who isn't ashamed to speak about God in the streets.
I see someone who is into her books, not just her looks.
I see someone who has self respest and self worth.
I see someone who is trying to live her life right.
I see someone who has been blessed with special gifts, that she's not afraid to let
shine.
I see someone who's life has special meaning.
I see someone who's not just about getting guys.
I see someone who loves life.
Now as I look into your eyes, let me tell you what I see.
I see someone who is very intimated by me,
Why?????
Because you see that there is still
One beautiful, intelligent, strong, black queen left in this world.
