Poetry Palace

Poetically poised on a dainty hill
Overlooking ever blue seas
Eagerly awaiting this surreal ILLUSION
Turrets made of imaginative calligraphy
Ruins that echo CREATIVITY
Yearning to belong in this poetic home

Paddle your toes in the moat of letters
Allowing the INFUSION of words to make a sentence
Listen to beautiful melodic lyrics in the great hall
Attic of ancient and famous sonnets ghostly sing
Carrying you EVENTUALLY to high emotional state
Ending up, it's INEVITABLE that you live forever on the dainty hill

Speechless Wonder

You never say hello
Your just a speechless wonder
You called me your wild rose
But I'm just the thorn in your side
An empty silent love
Finally falling through the ordinary day
now we never talk anymore
And we're slowly fading away

You never said goodbye
Beloved speechless wonder
Just a shadow of you walking
And getting smaller under street lights
Old memories echo through me
Finally whispering in ordinary ways
But we never talk anymore
And you've slowly faded away

Chinese Takeaway

Beef and black bean sauce with rice
Hungry big wide eyes
Struggle to use chop sticks well
Its just fun to try
Satisfyingly
I'm so full
Burp!

Lyrical Thoughts

I see life in a creative way
I let the ink and paper have their say
The lyrical words dance and glide
Forming round me, go with the ride
So join me as I sway.

I need to express through words I write
Life's an inspirational delight
Many sights to make me smile,
And make me frown, come stay a while.
See through my eyes so bright.

My Favorite Sound

Feel the funk, the beat pulses through
Feel the soul, a soothing groove
My body can't help, but dance and move
I'm jumping along as you rock that tune
Goods times. A fine rhythm that Bernard played you know
Can't help but smile when heard on the radio
It made me buy one. Four strings oozing soul
The funkiest sound I'll ever know!
Feel the funk, vibrating your bones
A soulful sound, energetically flows
My heart can't help feel satisfied
When I play those notes that sound so low
Many great musicians are playing this beast
Like Michael Bulzary Les Claypool and me!
So turn up the volume way past ten
Get down with that funky stuff, again and again!

A Mothers Limits

Now, I love my husband an awful lot
But his cantankerous side is not so hot

We tolerate each other’s choices
But Football is a ‘no’ my inside voice says

Personally, I have a fear of ancient twisted trees
I WILL close my eyes, so guide me under them please

My children are like a heard of fighting elephants
There’s only so much my ear drums can take of their shouts and grunts

My parents are great, (now my head can't find a rhyme)
But I’ve have heard their stories from long ago one hundred million times!

The love I have for my loved ones has no limits at all
I will always be here with opened arms to catch them if they fall

So, football, twisted trees, fighting elephants and old stories
I have my limits I truly do but would I change things? No not really!

What My Wise Reflection Said

My reflection tells me
To never say goodbye
To the one's you care about
It just isn't right
So hold on to them with so much love
And listen to natures fate
Because before you know it
It'll be too late

Tallulah

Takes in all of what she sees's
And so enthusiastically
Leaps about, care free and heart felt
Longing to find a mystery or secret door
Under, over, clambering through her imagination
Lavender surrounds her in the hazy field
All is quiet, only the deepest sigh
Home bound on the shoulders of her father

Goliath Grouper

Great
                       lipped fish
                 lurks in the deepest
blue. Rarely seen, I dive right in to take a look at
this magnificent beast. I hear he’s almost as big as me – YIKES!
Eerie silent of the ocean. Only thoughts are spoken.
        From nowhere the Great Goliath
                  Grouper appears with
                          a mane of
                           Sardines!
