One Pen

One pen creats a museum, every piece of art.
One pen makes a library, every book apart.
One pen makes a letter, to lovers far away.
One pen made the Constitution, that is here to stay.
One pen made our religion, beautiful and divine.
One pen made our farytailes, funny and kind.
One pen made those answers, another made sure they were right.
One pen made our airplanes, ready for flight.
One pen made this poem, and now sharing it with you.
One pen in your hand, to do whatever you want to.

Do You Trust Me

Do you trust me
To lie on a bed of nails
Or swim with the weight of the world
One your shoulders next to sharks?
Do you trust me
To lie on railroad tracks
Or jump off a cliff so tall
And land in my arms?
Do you trust me
To jump into a cage at the zoo
Or race a train next to me
On the tracks before it?
Do you trust me
To fly on planes wings
Or let me carry you
Up the steepest mountain?
Do you trust me
To be there for you
Through the hardest times
Do you trust me?

Home

A fit of laughter
Welcoming hands
Encouraging smiles
And love that never ends
I’ve never been here before
Away from war and pain
My Lord has led me here
It’s just been out of my grasp
It’s all to wonderful
For a sinner
Like me
Yet He’s brought me here
With open arms
And love
Before my eyes were closed
Now my eyes are open
And I see
My place in heaven
My love
My family
My home

My Lessons

I know I am still young
But I have found out lessons
How to live
How to die
How not to let
The world fly

Those who wish for adulthood
Will regret it in the end
While those who persue innocence
Happiness, their life'll send

Tuesdays with Mary
"To live you must die"
How is it those we deem incapable
Understand more than you or I?

Even with so much pain
The famine
The suffering
The death
I can't help but see beauty
The love
The hope
My God

A beautiful faith?
A looking-deep eye?
So down to earth
Yet dreaming of flight

You flatter me,yes
You really do
But
What will become of that
When I'm grown up too?

Wait

The funeral is over
you can hear a baby cry.
The soil is your new home,
Only God knows why...

Will you wait for me at Heaven's gate?
Tell the Lord you have to wait.
Let me fly with you on angel's wings,
Hearing "Gloria!" as they sing.

Months roll by and then a year.
No one to call, no one near.
You cradle yourself, and say:

Will you wait for me at Heaven's gate? Beg dear God to save my place.
Will you stay with me, in my heart?
To tell me your there when I'm falling apart.

Breaking away from a quiet place, hearing her calling you name.
You run and jump. I'll run and jump. I'll climb the tallest mountain, to the tallest
peak, to see you up in Heaven,

and tell you not to wait...
