The Trouble With Life

Life can be strange
Happy moments come
Nothing in the world can
Tear you down it's happiness.

Just by one word
Can make your world
Come crashing down,
The feeling of happiness
And hope no longer excites.

The trouble with life
It can bend and twist
Around you making
You believe whatever
It wants in happiness

Or sadness it plays
With your feelings and
Emotions wrapping it's
Vines around you.

It binds us holds
Us down it makes
Us falls trips us
Slides through your
Fingers with no cares.

Always You

Your in my thoughts,
I try to deny it.

Your in my dreams,
though I try to kick you out.

My thoughts always turn to you,
even though I don't want them.

You make my heart pound,
even though I don't want it.

You make me smile,
even though I don't want to.

You make me laugh,
I don't want to.

I hear the name only you can say,
I don't want your voice in my head.

It's always you that lingers in my thoughts,
It's always your voice in my head.

I try to deny my feelings,
But in the end it will always be you.

Note To My Heart

To my heart,
You have left me once again.

Letting someone take you away,
With one quick swoop.

Like a thief in the night,
Now your gone away from me.

He stole you away without a thought,
Now he has my heart.

I don’t want you to give it back,
I rather you keep it.

Keep it close it’s a treasure,
Lock in a box close it tight.

Don’t let it get away,
I would rather it stay.

Would You Listen

Would you listen to my thoughts?
Would you see my tears slip down my face?
Could this ever matter to you if something happen?

Would you care enough to worry or be there?
Or would I be that burden to you just like the rest,
Would you listen to my words of love and concern?

No that wouldn’t be enough for you,
It’s not what you want to hear,
You don’t want to listening to every honest word.

I’ve never told you what I didn’t think was true,
That doesn’t matter to you though,
You want to hear what you want not the truth.

You said you wanted to hear the truth,
But not really no you don’t want the truth,
You rather hear the lies or want you to hear.

No I guess the truth would be wrong for you,
You rather hear what you want to hear,
Where there is no truth.

Go ahead convince yourself of a lie,
Don’t see that I care enough about you,
No it’s not good enough for you to care.

A Wish Is On the Star

Stars above that shine so bright,
It’s beauty often over looked.

Stars that shine so bright and elegant,
The way they sparkle in the night.

Dances in the sky with it’s beauty,
Close your eyes tight.

Make a wish on a star,
I wish I may I wish I might.

This wish I hope to come true,
The star that shines the brightest.

Please grant my simple wish,
As you dance in the sky above.

The stars above glow so bright,
Grants us little hope in the night.

Beautifully it shines below,
As they dance in the sky above.

I Want To Run

I want to run form all the pain,
Form these feelings I have for you,
I want to run from the tears that hunt me.

I want to run form the hurt,
From the damage and pain I cause,
I want to run away run run.

I want to run from you,
You have made me happy,
I’m scared to get close to you.

I want to run away from true love,
Run away because I’m afraid,
Run run that’s what I want to do.

I want to run cause I let you in,
I let you through the walls I’ve made,
What do I do now? I want to run away.

The voice in side my head says,
Run run run away don’t stay,
My heart says stay fight with all your might.

What do I choose?
Run like a coward and a fool,
Or stay and fight and keep fighting?

A True Friend

A true friend is
Someone that cares
Someone that worries

A true friend is
That is there when you need
Them, their are there when you
Need someone to talk to

A true friend is someone
That comes running when
You need help or just need
To talk to,

A real friend is someone
That makes you smile when
You have a bad day
Brings you comfort when
You need it

A true friend is
The person that doesn't
Run out on you when
Things get tough
A true friend is
Someone that doesn't
Stop reminding you
That they are a friend.

I Still Miss You

I miss the days when
We would talk about useless
Things that didn't mean anything

I miss the way we would
Sit on this step or under
The porch just laughing
And smiling

I miss the way
You comfort me
When I need someone
To lean on

I miss the way
You would make
Me laugh just to wipe
The tears away

I miss the way
You looked at the world
And even the hard times,
Never got you down.

But most of all
I miss my best friend
Whose now gone but
Not by choice.

I will forever miss you
Your always in my heart
I'll never let go of you
The memory you so warmly
Left in my heart.
