Would You Listen
Would you listen to my thoughts?
Would you see my tears slip down my face?
Could this ever matter to you if something happen?
Would you care enough to worry or be there?
Or would I be that burden to you just like the rest,
Would you listen to my words of love and concern?
No that wouldn’t be enough for you,
It’s not what you want to hear,
You don’t want to listening to every honest word.
I’ve never told you what I didn’t think was true,
That doesn’t matter to you though,
You want to hear what you want not the truth.
You said you wanted to hear the truth,
But not really no you don’t want the truth,
You rather hear the lies or want you to hear.
No I guess the truth would be wrong for you,
You rather hear what you want to hear,
Where there is no truth.
Go ahead convince yourself of a lie,
Don’t see that I care enough about you,
No it’s not good enough for you to care.
