Stand For What You Believe In

Stand for what you believe in
No matter what the cost
To thine own self be true
Even if it means being alone and lost

You got to be true to yourself
Because no one else is going to be
When you know the truth
It really does set you free

No matter what the cause
No matter what the reason
Stand up for what you believe in
Never give up, and keep on believing

This Is the True Story of Six Sisters Part 3 the Guestbook

The Guestbook
I signed the guestbook, hoping that _____, Jenny’s mom would get my message and get in
contact with me. In the mean time, every person who signed it, I got updates about.
Then, one Saturday, I got this e-mail saying someone had signed the guest book, so right
away, I read it. It was someone named ________, from Ohio…and that she was Jenny’s
biological sister, and she left a phone number. Now…I know this name…because my birth
father’s mother had told me that name when I met her in January. So, I nervously picked up
the telephone and dialed the number. Thank goodness the machine picked up, LOL…I said
hello, my name is Melissa Powell, I am in Indiana. Jenny was my biological sister, by the
same birth father, and I think that you and I may be sisters too. Give me a call when you
can. Two hours later…the phone rang…it was ______…confirming we were indeed sisters!
Then she dropped a bomb on me…I had another sister _____! Wow…I lost one sister 2
weeks ago…and today, I find out I have two more sisters! What a blessing! So in the mean
time, ____, _____ and I are getting to know each other, and our families. So we get to
talking about possibly looking for other siblings because out birth grandmother has told us
there are indeed more of us out there. So we look on Facebook with the names. ________ I
wrote to about 20 _______ Even though when I saw her picture when I wrote her…I knew
she was my sister…we could be identical twins! So a few weeks go by…then on April 3, I get
home from Good Friday Church services and there is a e-mail from ______…Call me, I found
_______… Not only did we find _______…we found _____!

So with the tragic death of our beautiful sister Jenny…it brought all of all us together!
Now we have the rest of our lives to be sisters and get to know one another. God works in
mysterious ways, and we all believe that he brought us together using Jenny as our northern
star. And there are even more of us out there! Current count…Six girls and we are told we
may even have some brothers somewhere!

Dreams Do Come True

Dreams do come true
If you wish on every fallen star
Once you catch those dreams
Keep them like lightening bugs in a mason jar

Forever Your Girl

Forever your girl, long hair and eyelashes in curls.
Dazed and confused with a life time to loose.
Too many roads, and doors to choose.
The clock is ticking, the alarm is about to go off and I can't answer it.
I never thought it would be this hard.
All I want is the white picket fence and a great big yard.
It can go so many ways you know, left...right...
One minute in front of you and the next it's out of sight.
Wanting the 'american dream'
Birthday cakes and chocolate ice cream.

This was the first poem I ever wrote.

Cruelly Denied

I am tired of pretending
Sick of acting like it doesn’t hurt
Because it’s just a big lie
I smile to the world like nothing is wrong
While alone I hide the tears that I cry

People offer advice
That is easier said than done
They tell me keep your chin up
But on my mind…I have several tons

So what do I do to move on?
I need to grieve what will never ever be
How do I say goodbye
To a beautiful part of life
That I am so cruelly denied

Doing My Best

I’m doing my best Trying to move on I’m tried of being tried to made to feel like an ugly duckling When in side I know I am a beautiful swan It’s been years since I was first violated Yet, no one person has come to my defense To many miles in between you To me, the laws meant to protect me, just do not make sense When someone is allowed to harass day in and day out To use my photo and legal name as they please And not even get a slap on the wrist Not even to feel a pinch or legal squeeze I feel like I’ve been emotionally raped And the attacker is still on the loose And have to see him every single day And keep right on taking his abuse

730 Miles To New York City

2060 to L.A.
But it is just 280 miles to Nashville, Tennessee
Where I can see the country stars of the Grand Ol' Opry
Like Faith, Alan, Tim and Toby

I have gone mostly country
But I don't wear those boots
I have gone mostly country
My blonde hair is showing its roots
Gone country...There I go

I never really liked Madonna
I tried to Vouge
But I hurt myself
Not much for punk
But I love the Ramones

My bedroom wall was covered
Mom never needed to wallpaper
Floor and ceiling with the faces
Of 80's rock and roll

Poison made me want to talk dirty
Winger, I was only seventeen, but didn't care
Skid Row said I was a youth gone wild
And Bon Jovi said I gave love a bad name

Don't get me wrong
I still melt
When Jon Bon Jovi flashes that smile
And sings me his song

But when Toby Keith asks me who's your daddy (OH baby!)
Make me think naughty thoughts
And makes me have a evil grin
Makes me want to lay my hands on him
Sorry, I guess I am torn

They both make my mouth drool
But I am no fool
I may love country
But my first love
Comes from New Jersey

I Will Never Leave You Sister

No matter what you are going through
No matter how high the mountain
Or small the hill
I will be right by your side
Leave you…I will never will

I wish I could be there with you
But in my thoughts, I am next to your side
Although miles separate us
In my mind I can see your smiling face

This battle you are fighting
I am beside you every step of the way
I am praying for God
Just to take it all away

If you feel me holding your hand
That is because I am
If you feel me holding you
My arms are wrapped around you as tight as I can

Digging Your Own Grave

We can not control the actions of other people
But we can control how we react
We can show restraint and dignity
By keeping ourselves intact

People will show you their true stripes
And will continue to play their games
All the while saying they are different
When in fact they have never changed

When you have the mentality of a child
And you have to pretend to be a man
While digging busy digging your own grave
You don’t see others have their game plan

Another piece of evidence added
To a mountainous file already miles high
So enjoy your fun, you slithering snake
When they come knocking on your door with a protective order, I can’t wait to hear
you cry

My Drug

I love you
From the deepest depths of my heart
You are my addiction
I am craving my next fix
Everything I am
Everything you are
I need
To feel alive
And I will
With you by my side
You will always be my drug
