Lets Move Forward

A rocky road we’ve through I know
But Hostility, is not how to solve it though
Things will never work out if we don’t love one another
Because here in this country, we are sister and brother

We outline our government sadly on the past
Which may be the reason we are starting to crash
Listening to the tone, that’s planted all in your ear
Enraging you with hate, racism, and fear

Though the civil rights laws have been passed and enforced
The unity of the union is still in tragic divorce
Maybe it’s all because we tend to be afraid of change, a coward
Making our homeland , the land not of the free, but of the sour

We all tend to, hate others because they are not like you
A human instinct, I don’t deny it’s truth
But sometimes inside ourselves we have to set that aside
And look at the new way in the light of our eyes

Ours eyes will not deceive us, that’s a promise I will keep
I promise you also, that I’m tired of seeing this land weep
Its been wrapped into a package, whose seal will just not break
Change in America, seems to be to much for us to take
Explain to me, what is race anyway, is it allowed to be defined
Is caring for any other race still considered to be a crime
A crime made up by all of us its so, not just by the white citizens
Oh yes, there’s just as much ignorance in Hispanic, Asian, native, and Afro men.

See, what you are failing to recognize is that this is the melting pot
Been around for two hundred years, and this caldrons still hot
The fire seems to just have started and it continues on
Serving up a new kind of man, and new type of Adam’s son

See if race is true, then American is a race alone
Because in its fine fabrics, to many races are sown
That’s why when I look, at an American like me
I see an identical person, an identical race to see

Colors, oh colors, you ask why they are so
It’s just the pigment in your skin that anyone can get you know
We all make beautiful children together, and their smiles tend to be white
Can’t you see that in this day and time, it’s time we truly unite

Say goodbye to the past, whip it all away, and focus on the future time
Where America well not fall , but climb
Out of this terrible, dreadful Abyss of horror
Get your transportation, because we are moving forward.

Emptyness

Night By Night
Day by Day
My mine swirling in continous confusion
Searching for a soulful melody
That would feel that empty position

A staircase that takes me to a place of no where
A door that is open
Though it does not promise a place of growth, comfort, and acceptance
Rather a place that is indescribable
No one person can describe its power

A place of silence
A noticable place of tranquility
But by creating its tranquility
The tranquility is disrupted
A place that controdicts itself

A place we all find ourself lurking upon
A road that we are forced to travel
Yet a choice that we make
A choice that will possibly lead us to self incrimination

A door, a room, a space that we are left to design
To alter, to perfect, to make a haven, a paradise
But by creating this paradise, we may be forced
To fail, to die, to burn
And learn from previous mistakes

An oppurtunity to transform your world from
Inconsistancies and disappoints
To a world of
Fortune and ultimate fame
Or easily vice versa

A key is offered unexpectedly
Into this full but empty apartment
Of love

A White Rose

It was a night full of stars
The moon shined upon the land that was green
As the sky was blue
The stars moved in the motion of circles
And the grass let out a sound as beautiful
As a rose itself
A rose, a rose, one of white pedals to shine
A rose fuller than a swine full of slop
Majestic and divine
An untouchable rose, one that I could not own
A rose whose roots were deeply rooted on a green hill
Its throne
A rose who’s beauty had been covered and shadowed
By a tree’s branches, that rapped around its stem.
Its life being chocked and squeezed ‘til life was no more
That one white rose was the one I adored
I swore that I would free this life from its horrid prison
And allow it a life of growth
The ability to spread its seeds to gardens across the horizon
A life in a vase that I shall own, hold, and cherish
Til the day I too become a prisoner of the earth
And in a way I already had
I trekked up the hill to the place where this rose
Lay is roots, but pulling the plant
Would do the task not
The branches of the tremendous thick hold were to stay as they were
The rose pedals began to fall to my feet, and my duties had become clear
With my axe, the stem of the rose I cut and in my arms I held tight
And with my axe I pierced my heart and I too fell
A victim of a hold that could not be broken
But though our physical appearance faded into the sky
Our bodies both became a part of the rich soil
Left to father future generations
