I'M To Leave Now

By: Ali Taha Alnobani

I'm to leave now
A tall ghost is carrying my bag
A long street is walking behind me
A mad merchant bought my smiles
And no water to renew the dusk
I can't have my step begun
Even if the rain washed my tears
***
I'm to leave now
Can I have a deep look at your eyes?
Can I take my dreams, your smile
And my dried red rose?
Can I keep your image in my mind?
***
I'm to leave now
The hungry clouds and the angry trees
Scanned my face with a magic brush
To find the sleepy nice angel
But the narrow path through the forest
Had had fun alone
***
When I walk away
I'll pray to god for you to be happy
I'll collect wild flowers
And hold them around your picture
I will watch the river
May be a bit of his sails
Bring me your compassionate voice
***
It is not necessary to be together
If gardens want to paint your picture alone
If clouds like to rain for you alone
But forgive me
Beads of rain could be mixed with my tears
***

It is not necessary to be together
If the day needs something
And the night needs an other
If a baby comes to have life
And does not find a mother
***
 Do you remember
When I told you the story of crazy traveler
Who made a sail of his sweetheart dress
And a prayer of her words
And sang in all languages of the world
Then gods blessed him
That was the prophecy
I've seen in your eyes
***
It is not necessary to be together
I can see you wherever I go
I can hear your voice in the storm
And in the calm evening
***

The Crazy Hunter

By: Ali Taha Alnobani

He did not do anything extraordinary
Did not discover the secret of happiness
And surely did not invent the machine that collects rays of the sun in a painting
He sat among his friends proud of his depravities
In an acted way of formalities
***
Now he can boast about his manhood
Like a foolish boy made of wood
"I spent a wonderful time with her
My soul flew with kisses
And my body was trembling
With a very nice relaxing!
She believed me
And when I left her
Her face was yellow
Like lemon
And my eyes were sparking
Like a demon".
***
Hunters have no heart
And crimes are their ribbon
His reverent silent friends were looking at him
"My mother taught me:
"It is not a shame for a man to deceive a woman
Females who give you themselves have no honor"
So I hunt women as if I were a trap"
He laughed loudly and removed his cap
Then he rubbed his mustache
And suddenly screamed
"I'm the king
When I touch my ring
I can swallow an angel".
***
So here in the dark world
We have two sides
Schools for male... And schools for female
Streets for male…and streets for female
Dusk for male… and another for female
And in between
We have crazy hunters
Fond of their depravities
***

My Crutches

By: Ali Taha Alnobani

My crutches:
You shared me all my life
But I didn't
I was a bird
My wings shared the love rhyme
To take a look before the adventure
To have love forever
***
My desire is wider than the open sea and the sky
Feathers which grew on my two crutches
Drank the wind like a roaring waterfall
I can understand the madness
I can live in a wild flower
Then fly with the pollen
To taste the remote ports
And breathe like sails
***
The story started in a remote forest
When a strange man was chopping the wood
Then a crazy magician puffed on them to be crutches
Till that moment, I had no wings
But the feathers grew from my soul in a very cold night
The fire shaped me to be a love bird
Singing once and traveling an other
***
" you are mad" said the trees
My face, my neck, were nervous
And afraid of squeeze
The long days became short
And my desire is as wide as the seas
I couldn't escape
But I knew life more and more
***
Inside me
There is a cave of horror echo
A voice asked me to try
To go out
To have a moment with the vast sky
Angels and monsters are living together
An angel upstairs
A monster downstairs
None sees the other
But the bird
Can draw his mad city
Despite the long roads
And the dark cave
***
My crutches
I'm the heart of the earth
And you are my sail
To draw the life taste
***
And you
Believe me; start now
There are many things to do
For the sake of love and life
***

My One Day Friend Mark

To Liverpool
By: Ali Taha Alnobani

On Vernon street
Off Dale street
I sat near the sidewalk
At the edge
Like a broken bridge
People were passing
With their robot walking
Sea gulls felt my pain
Also did the rain
And my one day friend Mark
Who heard the voice of gulls in my heart
And my desire to start
His friendly eyes
Were shining
 Like a rainy day sunrise
I loved the city
The buildings, the streets
The people when they say:
Are you okay
And the great mysterious river
Which says:
I'll stay forever
***
"I'm from London, I recognized you…?"
Said Mark
Me too
The old woman in the park
Saw wonder in my eyes
And my crutches' tries
To stand
But I was shy to tell her
That pretty belles have stolen my heart
***
"London is more beautiful than Liverpool"
Said Mark
If our world was broken
Who would take our love?
If the birds flew away
Who would fly like a dove?
Please tell me Mark
If I understood life at the end
If I became a sea gull
And found my trend
But peace seems far away
Despite our great love
***
On Vernon street
Off Dale street
I remembered the man who thinks
That he owns the truth
He had a knife instead of tooth
He tried to teach me to hate
But he was too late
My heart was upon the planet
And dwelt in the world of love
***
My one day friend Mark
Went away
Waving by hand
The dusk was drinking the day
A bird passed through the clouds
Like a ray
How many streets around the world
Have a sad man like me
Sits on the sidewalk
At the edge
Like a broken bridge
Thinks of truth and peace
And longing to have love in Liverpool
***

Daily Death

Written by: Ali Taha Alnobani

When you bury your conviction in a deep grave

Something will take you to a new wave

Death is not only the end of body

It is a daily event: strong and brave
