Walk With Me

What's the need of a resolution?
In life's solution
Always changes but compliments rotation
As I look around the location
I feel a sense of upliftment...

This is my home, gives me protection
They say it's full of corruption
But everyday is a new edition
Somethin' new, always happenin'
Like township music rocks, jammin'...

The feelin' I get when I walk the street
Makes me feel collected
Brings back the sensation
That triggers the vibration
And plants a seed of inspiration...

For my dreams, I envision
And there is no confusion...

That I'm back
And I'm proud to be Namibian!

African Prince

I saw you from a distance
and i could not fight the resistance
To go over and touch
I felt my hand reachin out
yet i remained still..

I know you felt me last night at the party
As my eyes caressed
Every inch of you all night
My feelings so careless
From a far
But I remained still..

A brush of your touch
something rare as such
I thought it could never be
but you walked passed me
Leavin' an air of you Cologne
And yeah, once again I remained still...

For I'm an African woman
and it is not my place to talk
About the longin' I feel
And about the troubles you put in my heart...

African Prince can you feel me?
Can you feel my love,
that powers the power in me
Yet remains so dormant
waiting to be unleashed..

To a whole new world
That only you can reveal....

Scorned!

The time was 8' o'clock
When i heard a knock
On my door...
It was him
Looking so fine and much more...
How handsome he is.. I thought

So many thoughts ran through my mind..
Thoughts , best left than rewind
I turned around to hide the sadness
In my eyes...
After all the madness...

Things i had to go through
The Emotion struggles..,
the lot
To make it through
To where i am now
I should take a bow
To myself!

I'm a stronger woman
I was taught by the best..
A man.

So i turn around
And shut the door in his face!
Coz at this place
Right now
Is where I take
A stand!

My Mind

My mind is a weave of Inspiration

Legally bound by the commitment

To creatively explode

Never before have I looked at yesterday

And thought that today was worth witnessing

Because tomorrow will bring the fruit of it all

Hope!

My mind is a knot of troubled freedom

Sensitive and waiting to burst open

To enjoy the light

Yet to live and let live

To be or not to be

Is not a question but a realization

Breathe!

My mind is a tongue tight vision

Waiting for that platform

To raise all hell

Yet to acknowledge

To plant the seed

That will set it free

Live!

I Am I

In a world where tweets, comments and status updates
define a person,
Where people perceive to decipher your being,
I am who I am and not what you claim,
I am a woman, who comes home to her thoughts and aspirations,
I am I...

Everyday is a constant battle,
Of words and war on love,
I am not my tweet,
My life is infinity,
I am hope,
I am happiness,
I am I...

In a world where people categorize you,
With constant pressure pushed by negligence of appreciation,

I am not your opinion,
I am my own cheerleader,
I am my own battle,
I am I

I'M a Woman

I'm a woman.... Aspiring to prosper...
Sprinkled by doubt, I surrender to nostalgia
Searching for that missing link...
A girl's allowed to dream , isn't she?

Touched by sparkles of hope...
I long to feel that force!
That force that can stimulate my being...
I'm lifted by my hopes and dreams...

I rise above all
Like the woman I was made to be...
I clench my fists
 Joyous ,victorious!

I stand tall
Tears rolling down my cheeks...
I move forward tall and proud
I'm a woman
I am here...
AND I REPRESENT!

That Feeling

Feeling is a complicated word…
It can make you cry, laugh and confuse you

Its amazing how one kiss can make a difference
Pushing you right into turbulence
Like, when he kisses you for the first time
Holding you tight for a while
And leaves you shaking, just with that kiss

When he says its way beyond description and imagination
Not knowing that it’s him causing the commotion

When you feel that kiss on your lips
Days after you locked lips
And you can still taste it
The sensation coming back
And you can’t stop remembering
That feeling lingering
When he held you in his arms and
It felt like you finally arrived home
And you felt safe in his arms

And every time you think about that kiss, your heart skips a beat
How would you classify that feeling?
When you are all confused about what you feel for him
But yet your heart longs for
His voice…
His touch…
His smell
Until you feel its madness!
Yet you can’t control the sadness…
When his image keeps haunting your mind
And your heart drums go in overdrive
Accelerating every time you hear his name!

Love Struck

You got me going again..
Standing and sitting and standing again..!
Walking around the room aimlessly..
Twisting and turning so nervously..
Oh, dear! here I go again
Damn, you got me going again..

I feel the sea breeze
In a city that got no sea..
And everytime I hear that sound I freeze!
The sound of your name,Oh..
My heart skips a beat
Eish, I can even feel the heat
In winter..
Burning up with fever!
Oh dear! here I go again
Damn, you got me going again..

Just the thought of you..
Ignites a smile on my face..
Coming and going and all about
Dancing to music,
But there's no sound
Oh dear! here I go again..

Then it hits me..
Like a ray of light..
I realise..
I'm love struck!
Oh! You got me going alright!
Damn,there I go again...
