You

You are
My friend
My rock
My morning
My sock (the one without the hole in the toe)
My pepperoni on my pizza
My clock (I love clocks)
My new toothbrush
My rainfall on my windows
My head rush (that was fun!)
My Christmas lights
My clean laundry
My full tank of gas
My Saturday afternoon
My World Series
My comfy couch on a Sunday
My wind thru the trees
My snowfall at night
You are my friend
You are my all.

Chasing a Ghost

I've seen you
I've followed you
I've loved you

You loved me
Once
You followed me
Once
You needed me
Once

And now you've begun to fade
And now I chase you
And follow you
And still love you

But you don't look back to find me
Unless it's to see
If I'm still chasing you

And yet I run
And run
And I can't catch you

And you don't look back
I've grown tired
And I cannot run anymore

So now I sit
And mourn
For my ghost

My Heart

Living in my heart
Where birds sing sweet songs all day
And the sun shines bright
No harm can come to me here
For only good is allowed

Spinning

My head is spinning
My thoughts flying around my head

Chaotic
Angry
Fearsome
Worry
Pleading
Wanting
Hoping
Wishing

I can't stop
These words won't let me sleep
They whisper in my ear
They remind me
As I try to forget

Spinning
Swirling
Hushed
Bothersome
Nagging
Tenacious
Noisy
Whirling

Why won't they leave me
Why won't they change
Why can't I forget
Why can't I run

Stop
Heal
Forget
Grow
Smile
Laugh
Love
Happy

I can change them
I can chase them
I can lock them out
I can sleep

The Other Side

Can you see me from the other side?
Do you know I think of you?

Can you hear me on the other side?
Calling your name?

Can you love on the other side?
Do you know I still love you?

Do you know I can't live without you
On my side.

Talk to me from the other side.
Whisper my name.

Touch me from the other side.
Make me feel your icy touch.

Love me from the other side
Because you are not gone.

It's Time

I think it's time
To let you go

I think it's time
To set you free

I've imprisoned you
With my love
With my needs

My hold on you
Had made you weak
I've squeezed all you had
For me

I need you now
But you are not there
You haven't anything
To give me

I must save myself
To save you

I will always love you
I will always be your friend

Your place in my hear
In my soul
Will always be yours

You know where to find me
If you should ever
Need my love again

Numb

I am numb
I feel nothing
Cannot feel the pain
Cannot hear the noise
I can only hear
The silence
In my heart
No buzz
No joy
No fear
Nothing is left
Only the haze around me
That is my love for you

Din

The din has become too much
It has taken over my head
It has taken over my thoughts

The din, it swirls around my world
Filling in the spaces in between
It's chaotic, loud confusing

The din flies about my head
Like a fly
Buzzing, swooping, a nuisance

I need the quiet
I need the softness
Back in my soul

I need the wholesomeness
White
Peacefulness of the quiet

It nees to blanket me
Once again

I need to hear me again
I need to hear my song
In my head

No more din
Banish din
And find myself again
