Betrayal

Loyal and blind, I believed in you.
A mother, even though not of birth.
Trusting your love and caring true.
I grieve as dead, feeling no worth.

Mourning with heavy heart and soul.
The clues of truth run through my mind.
Little things, telling things, won't let go.
Denial and disbelief, in thoughts do bind.

To know but not to believe, overlook.
I am to blame for this blind heart ache.
The signs ignored, years it took.
You can't hide now, you were a fake.

JUST WIERD

HERE'S A LITTLE POEM THAT'S WEIRD,
YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT WORD FOR WORD.
WACKY-CRAZY
FUNNY-ZANY

DON'T FORGET TO LAUGH A LOT,
LIFE TO SERIOUS TURNS TO ROT.
WACKY- CRAZY
FUNNY-ZANY

PLAY GAMES AND SHARE THE FUN
NO ONE HAS YOU ON THE RUN
WACKY- CRAZY
FUNNY-ZANY

FOR WHEN YOU ARE CONTENT, OTHERS WONDER,
HOW TO BE THIS WAY, TO GET OUT OF THEIR SLUMBER.
WACKY-CRAZY
FUNNY-ZANY

HERE'S A LITTLE POEM THAT'S WEIRD,
YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ IT WORD FOR WORD.

Buttons Buttons

BUTTONS, BUTTONS

Buttons , buttons everywhere, I just love buttons.
What's this, please don't push, but why?
I walk in circles desperate for the reason.
Curiosity has me begging to push the button.
Oh come on it can't be that bad can it?
Please someone push the button, it's driving me crazy.
I edge closer staring at that untouchable button.
How i want to push it. hovering there in need.
what could be the harm if i did.
OK anybody looking?
I'll just say,"THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT!"

I Am Blessed

This has been one of the hardest years of my life,
Many losses took me to a lonely empty place.
Losses within my net family and my biological family.
Left me shaken, confused and feeling hollow.

It is late or very early THANKS GIVING morning,
I have been pondering what blessings I have.
It was not easy this year, so much has changed.
Yet the Lord has blessed me with so much.

Our home is paid for, so we have a warm place to live.
A loving man in my life, three adult children, and a pet.
Many wonderful friends world wide to share with.
My greatest blessing is that I wake each new day.

No matter what the day brings, it is an adventure.
I know in my heart I never have to face it alone.
Life is a blessing the good and the hard times.
I Thank God for it all, and for leading me to the light.

I know that those gone before are still with me,
I feel their love and know they are waiting for me.
When my time comes to cross over we will be together.
So each day I awake and look with optimism of it's coming.

Each morning sun rise brings a sigh of awe,
Each evening sun set brings thanks to my heart.
I have lived life wild and free in youth,
Strong and steadfast as an adult, doing my best.

So this THANKS GIVING I thank God for his blessings,
For allowing me each day to share with those I love.
For letting me view the beauty of his creation.
For allowing me to write it and share my heart.

Unsaid

Seems so much is left unsaid,
Leaving regret and dread.
Hurt and betrayal leaves a mark.
Exposed wounds open and dark.

Too much time spent saying goodbyes,
Unfinished lines broken where they lie.
Tears of sorrow cascade unrelenting,
No openings for the mending.

Broken lines in need of repair,
Silence remains full of despair
Years of memories lorn.
All that’s left is treachery and to mourn.

Loneliness

loneliness
laying empty in chest
waiting for salvation from bleakness
to open this locked heart.

Something Smells

BELIEVE ME, I WOULDN'T LIE TO YOU.
I love you baby and you are soo beautiful.
I am soooo in love with you, I'd never do you wrong.

Verbal roses, meant to trick,
Verbal roses that truly stink.

I didn't do it, honestly I wouldn't.
Who's she? Not sure who your talking about.
Your the only one I see, You are my heart.

Verbal roses, meant to trick,
Verbal roses that truly stink.

Your friend saw me where, with who?
You know I was visiting with Bud.
Your friends are lieing Your my love.

Verbal roses, meant to trick,
Verbal roses that truly stink.

The System

The constant ache throbs through my being,
Pain dragging me down into despair and depression.
Knowing there is a solution but being made to wait.
Impatience at a system that doesn't care that your in pain.

While waiting could cause more problems as it grows inside.
A cyst, non malignant, but getting bigger and causing havoc.
Head aches that knock the strongest to there knees, desperate.
Exhaustion mentally from trying to go on normally, fight the pain.

The pressure on the body is unbelievable, hard to stand or to sit.
Not an emergency, considered elective surgery, but I am suffering.
Hard to digest food, hard to go to work, and hard to sleep.
Frustration builds with each day as it gets worse and still waiting.

Over four years before properly diagnosed, not imagination, real.
Eight months from diagnosed to see specialist, and then for cure?
A simple surgery to remove the problem, not important enough.
What if it bursts? What if they say not going to fix? Am afraid.

A medical system spiraling down, to many abused the system.
Now those who need help sit in desperation and frustration.
Trying to live as if all is well, going on with daily jobs and routines.
It is not okay, and gets harder with each passing day, am so tired.

The Cure

Been pondering a year strewn with loss and pain,
Illnesses and breakdowns seemed to have control.
But then little things looked over, thinking again,
The year has not been bad at all, just forgot to see.

'HAPPINESS SNEAKS IN THROUGH A DOOR
YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU LEFT OPEN'
John Barrymoore

Now looking back the joys come to light.
Friendships that have grown stronger.
Reunited with family long left to be.
Children grown and making a go of it safely.

'HAPPINESS SNEAKS IN THROUGH A DOOR
YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU LEFT OPEN'
John Barrymoore

Though somethings have taken work,
It was with satisfaction to reach the conclusion.
Some doors may have closed but many more opened.
Happiness is in the allowing it to be there, not locked out.

'HAPPINESS SNEAKS IN THROUGH A DOOR
YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU LEFT OPEN'
John Barrymoore

Seems that seeing the bad and having it stick,
Is the human way, but so much more good happens.
Let the less wanted go and search for the positives
that really could be the natural cure, for happiness

'HAPPINESS SNEAKS IN THROUGH A DOOR
YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU LEFT OPEN'

Enchanting Youth

Leaving the restaurant, needs time alone. He spots a tree just outside the garden.
Too many people around, tired, frustrated, sitting to think. Damn!
Someone is coming out from the building. Hopes whoever it is does not notice him.

Pained cranium swells
concrete jungles unknown steps
Angers selfish mind.

Really does not want to be bothered, not now. She walks slowly, shoulders bent,
fatigue shows.
Wanting to leave. Held in place, he watches. What keeps him anchored.
Draws his attention.

Time worn silhouette
Curiosity saunters
Mounts with each aged stride.

Soft music wafts gently in air. He a college student and she's old, life spent.
In gardens center she sways. The spell has been cast, mesmerized.
She glides, graceful and dreamlike. Who is she waltzing? Dance of fantasy or memory?

Ages wonderment
Hypnotic vision behold
Questions unanswered

Movement catches eye, turning sees young man in uniform, who smiles and nods.
Heading for garden in long sure strides. The dance of lovers lost commences.

Loves apparition
Picturesque enlightenment
Shocking disbelief

What he thought was worn and ugly, is changed. In awe frozen, a beauty to behold,
enchanting youthful wonder.

Miracle of sight
Transpired past echoes
Perfection shining

The spell is broken when final note plays. she's falls to the ground,
lifeless she lays. He frantically runs to her side. Holding her hand,
She smiles, serenity on her face.

Illusion shattered
Misgiving fearful ending
Calmness caresses

'Look beyond outer core to find beauty within' She says
'Life beholds many wondrous things.'
Slipping into her lovers final embrace she leaves him. With wisdom shared.

Final enchantment
Dieing words forever linger
Answers precious kept.
