Hidden Desire

She listens…
But she does not hear my words,
the pounding of my heart,

She looks…
But she does not see my gaze,
my soul drift into her eyes,

She stands close…
But she does not feel my arms
around her,
my breath caress her neck,

She walks away…
My head falls,
she will never be mine,

The Reality of a Walk In the Woods

The beckoning still of a pool of
blue flowers
(Her eyes, they lure and I drift)

Sunlight filters above
(Her hair, soft, slips through
my fingers)

The caress of a whispering
breeze
(Her voice, provocative)

The subtle turbulence of flora
(Her scent, sensual... come
closer)

Droplets gather and fall
(Her tears, she is vulnerable)

I want to take her hand
(I can’t)

We walk in the woods
( It is nothing more)

A Dark Place

To live in a dark place,
Forced inside,
Disabled by despair,
Memories entwined in barbed wire,
Cerebral cuts seep anger,

Trapped,
The door... bolted shut with transparent lies,
The stench of deceit fills the air,
Tears pool below,

Black mould climbs the walls,
Figures appear within....visions of two,
Echoes laugh,
Insignificant you,

More lies,
Another slice of my heart,
Falls to the ground,
To feed the rats that scurry,

But Sometimes...
Light cuts through the darkness,
She’s outside,
A glimpse of another,
A beautiful silhouette,
Momentary hope,

But despair returns,
She can’t see the real me,
Hidden in this dark place,
Soulless self-preservation,
Conditioned... "It’s safer in
here",

Still...
In the darkest of moments,
A weakening hope pushes through depressed thoughts,
She will come,
So wait for her,

Rain falls today,
Dripping , ticking,
Time is dying,
In this dark place,

Trust

I gave you my heart,
it trusts to rest perfectly in the cup of your hands,
so I gave you my heart to hold,
to carry over a river of broken dreams,
over the shards of a life past ,
to an intensity of true love desired,
but you became weak,
unable to hold my heart forever,
you reached out to take another,
mine discarded,
drifting,
torn,
a fading heartbeat,
dead echoes of emptiness,

Now...

in this time of need,
I ponder,
to trust another ,
vulnerable I look to you,
I share these words that belong to my heart,
and in this intimate moment,
I give my heart to you,
to carry over a river of broken dreams,
over the shards of a life past,
to an intensity of true love desired,
but I fear it to fall again,
so handle this heart with care,
it trusts to rest perfectly in the cup of your hands,

Contemplate This : Chapters 1-6

Chapter 1:

Contemplate this...
End of life,
Forever darkness,
A place to hide,

( A middle aged man stands
close to the edge. Enveloped
in darkness he looks down,
rain whips his face. In the
blackness below,
splinters of white, as waves
crash)

Chapter 2:

Contemplate this...
Accept...life is bad,
Depressed, oppressed,
Time line sad,

( He ponders, is this how it will
always be? should it end here?
, an exorcism of sadness)

Chapter 3:

Contemplate this ...
Those who wronged,
Synthetic weak,
You... inherent strong,

(But no, saved by a lucid
moment, a thought takes hold ,
not to let the selfish
confessions of another lead to a
leap of lost faith)

Chapter 4:

Contemplate this..
Run away,
Re-invent,
A born again day,

(He steps back, walks away
, leaves all behind, and
whilst others sleep oblivious, a
new path beckons , to live , to
love and to be loved)

Chapter 5:

Contemplate this...
A giver of hope,
Someone to hold,
A reason to cope,

( He sees her, they
share a glance, they share a
few tentative words, they
share the same
desires)

Chapter 6:

Contemplate this...
Dreams fall true,
Entwined with an angel,
Loved are you,

( He finds the purist of love, the
hurt is no more, happiness
floods his every moment.....he no longer
stands close to the edge )

Spirit Orbs Dream

Moonlight captured,
through mist and gleam,
something bore light,
without wanting to be seen,

In silent exodus,
Spirit orbs dream,
in search of heavenly destiny,
not the void between,

Sinner or saint,
Kind or mean,
Lay down breath,
Death will redeem,

And if someone you know,
who once might have been,
whisper a parting prayer...

Spirit orbs dream…

A Life Sentence

You breathe, you cry, you laugh ,
you learn, you fail, you wither, you die.

A Place Called Solitary

A place called solitary

Lost in the chaos of others,
I walk towards silence,
Tread as a million minds before,
A path worn of dreams and secrets,
To a place I can be anything,

Alone,
A hero,
A poet,
A man,
Me,

Where my fears are overcome,
Where my strength is reborn,
Where I decide,

This is my solitary,

Moments of Nothing

Love is near,
It has touched your heart many times,
Wished for you to be always,
Yet is unable to give all,
Because...
The moment almost is,
But never quite perfect enough,
To want this more than,

Stay, please don’t give up,
Love feels your sadness,
Holds you sometimes,
But has to let go,
Because...
The moment almost is,
But never quite perfect enough,
To want this more than,

You must trust in fate,
Love knows your path,
The path you have stumbled,
But is unable to walk forever hand in hand,
Because...
The moment almost is,
But never quite perfect enough,
To want this more than,

How much longer must I wait ?
I feel love ,
then,
Anticipation fades,
Because...
The moment almost is,
But never quite perfect enough,
To want this more than,

But now I have given all I have,
Tired of this impasse,
I accept less than is,
Because...

Moments are of nothing,

The Words Without

Here I stand before a mountain
of lies,
The words without say... “Get over it”

Trapped in a state of confusion
The words without say...“Move on”

Emotionally drained of energy,
devoid of a purpose,
The words without say...
“You're lazy”

Broken, dead inside,
The words without say...
“Give to me as before”

Solace found in a distant mind,
The words without say...
“You're ignorant”

But... The words without say nothing to me,
They do not understand the pain of a sensitive man,
