When Poets Meet

The clouds part at their roots…
Colliding the winds, waves
Crashing the shores.
We meet…
A rare combination
Of circumstances,
Our situation aggravate
A drastic storm, perfectly.
Words swarm our minds
Like busy bees in search
Of the sweet nectar of allegorical,
Similes and metaphoric explanations…
Pollinating our conscience and subconscious
Respectfully…
The obvious perplexities of poetic banter
And inconspicuous meaning
That bounds us…
Words that conjure from elevated places,
And rollercoaster into the subliminal…
Twirling around into loops, pen to paper
Screeches and screams to an abrupt stop.

The unexplainable written,
Describing what was unknown…
Scrambling to unscramble words
To define this acquaintance,
And when the stars play chase
Through the night sky
And the moon is set-
Know that somewhere out there
Two poets have met…

Definitions

Joy and pain…
Sun and rain…
Love and disdain-
Opposites existing simultaneously
To its own detriment.
One cancelling out the other…
Parasitic and unevenly yoked.

Through thick cumulative clouds
I was the sun…
The flow of light
In and out of her rain…
Creating rainbows of
Misty colors between
Our different mediums
We clash…
Much like the uneven
Heating of the Earth’s surface
As cold meets warm-
A flow of wind between
Our boundaries
That violently blows…
                        Juxtapose-

Dreamsicle

All of the joys
Of chocolate…
Delightful pleasure
of tiny secretions
that excites taste.
Releasing mounds of
Milky darkness…
An assortment of
Overindulgence,
A savory variety of
Irresistible explosions
And heavenly bliss…
Layers of richness
That taunts sensors to
Recall succulent memories
Of indelible guilt,
An insatiable desire
To spawn a gluttonous
Compromise…
Hers is Godiva,
Deep chocolaty inner dream-
Deliciously black coated
Vanilla cream...

Definitions Iii

Only you can do that
Thing you do
That I can’t
Quite explain…
How in my private time
I am left helplessly
In the remnants of you
Hoping to see you again-
What you did
Lingers into daydreams
Like fine mist-
And etched
Within permanently
Like my
First kiss…
Damn baby,
Where did you acquire
This style,
It is vivaciously shrewd?
Escaping clear definitions,
The obvious invisible,
And what is clear
Seems to allude-
What you did is
Astrological and
Void like the
Furthest star…
                       Jena se qua

Motivated

Lately urges have been
Borderline strange-
I can feel life flowing through
My veins again…
A smile to self when
I hear her name-
And I have yet to know the
Sensation of your touch, yet to
Hold you after a night of sultry
Lovemaking, yet to know the abyss
That precedes your kiss…

I’m too old for you to be making me feel like this-

I will slay Goliath,
And climb the highest mountain-
I will travel back in antiquity
To conquer empires and rediscover youth’s
Secret fountain…
From stone I will retrieve
Excalibur’s sword to avenge invaders
With a Gladiators’ might,
But with the grace of
A Matador’s fight-
All of this I will do…
And yet I long to know the
Gentleness of your touch,
Or the silent sound that love makes
By candle light,
Or the magic that awaits patiently
In your kiss…

I’m too old for you to be making me feel like this-

I Thought of You

You were so beautiful today
That I wanted to cry-
You showed me glimpses
Of the you that
Enters my dreams and
chase away nightmares…
The you that paint
My daily thoughts,
And canvas my nights,
The you that show
Up in daydreams…
I smile at the
Thought of you,
That you that
Is dimensional,
I envision loving
You in past lives
And in future places…
You’re etched in me,
Luminous thru my pores-
I should have cried for your beauty today,
Beautiful as all outdoors…
