Hearts

In this land of broken hearts
there are those who have learned the arts
to destroy everything that we have worked for
to break us down to our core
to make us weak
and they continue to wreak
havoc on this world
but, there is a girl
that I wish to save
from the darkness...but I'm not brave
I'm not fearless
but I have to be strong, unless
I succumb
to the numb
to the cold
and become old
without saying how true
it was when I said I love you

My Monster Found Me

He no longer will stay quiet...
he's likely to cause a riot,
to destroy what I've made,
this is no trade,
it's stealing...
and yet, it feels like he's healing
me...
maybe I'm meant to be
alone...
he's gone and destroyed my phone,
my tv,
and most of my technology,
and now all that's left is
this...
and soon this shall be gone too,
so, if you can, find me soon,
or I may gone...
he is me and I am him, we share a body, skin and bone...
his name is Craig,
and now my world is vague,
he does all he can to destroy...
My world is gone, so is the joy,
I will soon be no more...
goodbye all for I have become as dead as the door

I Wrote This For a Girl I Love

Are you alone another night?

It is quite the sight

a sight that I wish I could change

or at least rearrange

so that you could've seen me

and that I could help you be

a happier human being

but that sight I ended up seeing

I wish to change with each day

and show you that ray

of joy in each day of darkness

and make each day hurt a little less

so that one day you may smile

and it not seem like you are in denial

Love Is Funny

Love isn't something you expect to find
Love is something that really is blind
It is lost and then found
It does go around
It makes people smile
It can be a trial
It can drive men mad
But it isn't bad
It brings in sunshine everyday
Even as it begins to rain
Happiness when it's here,
Sadness when it does disappear
Find the joy in life while you can
Says this man
Who was driven mad

If Given the Chance

If given the chance to
Make up for what I've done
Some would say
One thousand things and
Run through fire to try to fix my
Rongs but...
You know I can't...
And try as I might
My mind is clear
But
Empty for the
Right words to apologize...
Do as you must to forget me
And forget all
We were...
Now I sit, truly alone in my head
Clear as day but, the nights are silent...
Out I go, into the world,
Understanding but blind...I still
Remember and will never forget
The good...the
End still hurts but, I will always
Remember you, the always beautiful and kind

Afterlife Iii: My Descent

I stood at the gates in a daze,
consumed by the beauty, and in the haze
I heard a voice utter these words: "This is not the land for you,
you have not been pure and true,
you must repent for the things you have done,
and with this, you will be sent to a world of burning flesh and bone"
Almost as quickly as it came, I fell from the heavens above,
I saw the grove!
The garden of Eden and the tree of knowledge!
I looked up as I fell at the ledge
that I once stood,
saw the reaper in his hood,
saw the gates growing smaller and smaller,
until they became no more,
and where I landed I hit with a thud,
I looked up and saw a flood,
of lava and fire,
looks like this is where I must rest, even here I tire
of my life I once lived but, I am here
with a tear
rolling down my face,
and without a trace
of remorse or sorrow,
the reaper joins me and he says,
"Life was only one phase,
You heard the bell
that tolled for you, now I'm here to welcome you to hell"

Dazed

Hit in the face with love so strong,
even though so many said it was wrong,
it put me into a daze
that made everything else seem like a haze
but is this love so true,
Is this the love spoken by so many of you?
Is this true or is it a lie?
I try to decipher it but no matter how hard I try
I fear that this is just another time
where you cut open my wounds and sprinkle them with lime,
adding insult to injury just one more time
I'll smile and laugh and tell you I'm fine
until I break down, down to my core
and wonder where the armor I wore
to protect myself from this has disappeared
and once the dust has cleared,
I'll be anew once again
as I stand crying, in the pouring rain

Is There Anybody Out There

Is there anybody out there?
Is there anybody in here?
Is there a reason to feel so down?
Is there a reason to wear this frown?
Why do I feel so bad?
Why do I feel so sad?
Is there a reason for this grief?
Is there a reason for me to weep?
I learned it all in just one night,
I was blinded by the light,
that love is a farce, love isn't true,
at least for me, but maybe for you,
you'll find the one you long for,
the one who'll pour
their heart out for you, to show you happiness,
I tried to be the one for you, but I digress
you destroyed me,
now leave me be,
take my heart with you,
I wont need it in this sea of blue,
I'll survive without anymore I love you's

Madness

As my madness settles in,
nice and cozy, it starts to dig in,
to my sanity, small and fleeting,
while I sit here, my heart beating,
I see the names that I've transcribed,
into my soul, the ones that I love, and ones that have died,
my sanity, eaten away
while my madness sits, as if at play,
it chews and it swallows my sanity and joy,
I sit and smile and try to be coy,
to fool those around me, to shelter them from me,
the pure insanity
that ebbs and flows inside my soul,
the one thing that once made me whole
breaks me apart once again,
the love turns to madness, becomes just another grain
on this sandy beach of crazy feelings,
I think back on all the things,
that I said, the things I meant,
I thought you would buy, but you only wanted my heart for the rent
as I sit here, feeling so blue,
I erase my I love you

Pieces of a Heart

We've all been hurt by the ones we love
and start to curse the one above
for the misfortunes and shame
we sit and we blame
while we cry and wait
for someone to create
the pieces we lost
of our hearts that our past loves tossed
but what if true love was not
our hearts being repaired by a knot
but our hearts rejoicing
in rejoining
the person we love each day
as we say
I love you
and the smile that grew when I say it too
