Survive

blackness drowns you
suffocates you slowly
creeps in
seeps in
drowns your heart
kills your soul
your an empty shell
never to feel again
wondering through life
empty and soulless
sometimes its the only way to survive

I Miss You

I miss you
When you went away
it was like a million needles
poking my heart.
I've told you a million times
about how much I miss you.
I know I was very young when you went away
and I didn't understand
that you were never coming back.
I understand now
and I wish I could have spent more time with you.
I know it must have been hard for you
to know you were going away,
leaving two children behind.
Sometimes at night I stare up at the stars
and see your beautiful eyes staring back at me;
and I start to cry,
thinking about how beautiful you were.
And I miss you.

Helpless

darkness it engulfs me
fills up the dead space inside me
drains the light
the darkness takes over
i give in freely
emptiness is all i can feel
loneliness runs through my veins
sorrow fills my heart
darkness flows through my body
empty's out through my tears
tears stream down my face
taking the darkness with it
now i am truly empty
void of emotion
helpless to the cycle
