Light Decantible Blue

clear your throat
cause heres the pause in the canyon
with all the trees
spring year
around

they make
golden dreams
seductions seed

sometimes
dim on mornings
fall
she said
light decantible blue

swimming
was an
experience
profound
as drowning

only sailors did that
and only then
by fog rolls
in prelude
light
decantible
blue

cherries
on verso
of card sent
so soon

green
the positive rue
trusting
you
we begin
again

One For You Peter Bray

One for You Peter Bray

i have an old tape recorder
it is a friend of mine
it is half chrome
and
half
blue
a little rust
on the screws
it ain't worth a dime
but
it
plays back the
blues
from every car wreck
war
and
pawnshop
train
travels
at
night
thats
when
the music flows
and the chrome
glows.

Brookbrooke

BrookBrooke
[The Sybil]

i don't drink
she said
looking at
the red and
blue flashing
beer sign
mesmerised
still and small
on an ordinary
stool
spool
spool of thread
about
to fall
from
her
half hip
open
pocket
everything
that could
be said
she
already
knew

Brookebrook

BrookeBrook
[The Saint]

she spent her
time dreaming
of a dream
dreaming
she worked hard
all her life
she thought she
must be last
in line
but felt
she had the
biggest heart
the most
to give
hot coffee
in the
thermos
future
in a box
she knew
