Rashana King Poem
A five tiered chocolate cake with stars and fontain
cascading rose petals and bottles of champagne
her princess lined gown laced with a metallic accent
embellished with satin rhinestones much to her content
Heavenly white bows at the end every pew,
such breathtaking moment from a spectacular ocean view
A twenty foot high ceiling with crystal chandeliers
Soft sensual music whispers in the air
She took her grand march down the petal marked aisle
At the end of the runner her husband with a smile
Subdued by her beauty the room went still
A fairytale wedding she was about to fulfill
Upon her finger he place a gorgeous ring,
and vowed his love for her as never-ending
Elated inside as tears lined her eyes
Deep in her stomach were butterflies
A union made between a husband and wife
An everlasting promise to a happy life
Along the ground was a silky white trail
Her piercing green eyes he slowly unveiled
Upon her lips he placed a kiss
A moment filled with beauty and bliss
The wedding part began to swoon
A joyful bond in the month of June

Rashana King Poem
Love is a passion hidden deep inside
So cautiously secluded its hard to find.
When I first met you these words I had denied.
Because in front of me was love at first sight.
In love they say there's no being satisfied
But in and out of my dreams you fulfill my every desire.
Love may at times be unhappy and mild.
But your love makes me tremble deep down inside.
True love may be blind, but at the same time
This love which entwines us can never be denied
Baby its unforgettable the love that I’ve received.
It puzzles the mind, tickles the heart, and puts my body at ease.
But one thing I’ll never forget are the words I’ve once denied.
It’s not hard to find true love, even at first sight.

Rashana King Poem
Your beauty and delicate nature, indeed we cannot deny
Yet having such a short life span, you somehow eventually die
Like the transient nature of mist and clouds, you superbly reappear
Then breathtakingly take your time to freshen up the air
A majestic symbol of power, knowledge and spiritual pulchritude
Celebrated blossoms attained in Spring you've magnificently exude
You evoke an artistic comparison through your bright ruddy hue
And in the night when we're asleep your petals the skies bedew
Your flowers are nearly pure white, and tinged with the palest pink,
Without hesitation you shrivel and fall before I could even blink
Your spiritual and cultural significance is never an incomplete
Accompanied by your long weeping branches are flowers so very petite
So stunning and stupendously, you lay about the trees
And even when you've carpeted the ground, your beauty never cease

Rashana King Poem
Our ecosystem and wildlife can no longer be ignored
The devastation caused by the Gulf oil spill must vastly be restored
As anger and frustration surges across the Coast
The depletion of our environment, indeed we fear the most
Several past months, many lives have been erased
In the midst of these disasters, we can only look to faith
Now let us pay a visit to some underlying factors
Volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and other natural disasters
It was not in their intention for a high tech failed invention
Yell still they don't take into account the consequences of their actions
Efforts to contain this oil spill is more doltish than we have known
What more massive debacles can this single Earth condone?
Many local residents are now suffering from depressions
So think about what lies ahead, our future generations

Rashana King Poem
Sometimes we wish for someone rear
Material things we hold so dear
We tend to miss the sight of care
Allowing sincerity to disappear
Thinking about it I'd rather you near
What matters the most is you truly care
The things you do makes me amazed,
Material things you've totally replaced
The thought of your touch runs through my mind,
And gives me chills throughout my spine
The thought of your kiss is oh so divine
Each bite each nibble is one of a kind
So many have searched for one so refine
The truth is I'm just glad you're all mine
