Tide

Must be so far
'Cause I can't see the end
Here's hoping
Here's to all who never cared

I said I'd serve you until the end
Not so hard to understand
But you have killed the moment
Left me here for dead

Coming too fast
'Cause I can see the end
Here's hoping
You take time forget

I said I'd serve you until the end
Not so hard to understand
But you have killed the moment
Left me here for dead

Coming too late
'Cause I have passed the end
Here's hoping
You let go of all regrets

In comes the tide
To wash your life away
Here's hoping
That you're on solid ground

Hate the Rain

I hate the rain, hate the rain
How it always rains on me
And when it's raining
I wish for sunny days
Drowning in puddles of forbidden dreams
Showers that drench my only means
To feel you once again

I hate the rain, hate the rain
How it never seems to quit
And when it's flooding
I wish my life to float away
Sinking to the bottom of an endless void
Ocean that crushes the only means
To reach you once again

When the ominous clouds won't blow away
And the only thing left is sunless shade
The only thing left that still remains
Is the rain, rain that won't go away

Lo Sea End-O

Alas my love my dying day
Will bring sweet whispers to my grave
Recumbent in your evil snare
Snakes will tempt you, strip you bare
Careful now with tender lips
They will persuade those dormant hips
To move in places dark unknown
And when let go, will be alone

Alas my love my will dissolves
In oceans built on dire resolve
Swept away in winds disguised
Then crushed in waves, drift and died
Venom ruins your perfect veins
Skin retracts, reminds disdain
Then mirror with its clever eye
Reclaims its sympathy, yours and mine

Parietal

That which beats is a lie
All that flows through is blood
My foreign wounds are denied
The hollow chamber a flood

Both fill me with sustenance
But emptying just the same

This tiny organ beckons
What in time would happen
Eventually would claim me
And call me to a higher place

And i feel this mental apathetic arrogance

As the walls close in
I begin to deny
That this body is drowned
And what is there is alive

I should have died then
I should have died then

Cover me
Envelope me in this
Cavity
Hollowing
Let nothing
Pierce through and
Empty

Refraction

The light in your eyes
Hit the prism of my soul
And scattered into a spectrum
Of a million colors
A slow vibration
And then a similar wave of energy
Passed between us
As our fingers touch
I am transformed
And we travel to other places
The taste of your lips
Channels instant connection
And I don't want to leave this place
Your luminescence streams
Through your fingers and toes
And through the ends of your hair
The continual glow keeps me warm
As I take you in my arms
You make me feel infinite
Like I could live on forever
I tremble in my subtle weakness
But you are there to comfort me
You shelter me with your love
And I protect you under my wings
You make me all that I am
No one else could make me feel this way

Chaser

I'm your bait on a rusty hook
You got me where you want me
What's my excuse now?
The kids are sick so I must stay home
But they were sick last week
Get over it
You never let me forget our past
The skin is soft but those teeth are sharp
And your bite always gives me scars

Drive faster
If you want to catch up to me
The anger screams 'cause I'm the one you can't have

You've got the ropes to tie me down
And a grudge to keep them tight
What's my excuse now?
Something came up and I must change plans
But I set up reservations
Get over it
I can't slow down 'cause you're closing in
You found out who I really am
And you wont let it go
Drive faster

Unwanted Electricity

Miles away
In wires, in streams of jumbled data
Collected together
And traveling above your cities
Unnoticed by most who pass by
Feeding your homes with loud noises
And warm things that keep you alive
Plugged into a source far away
But connected all over the world
Held high by tall statues
But swing low from sweet gravity

Miles around
People join hands in circles
Connected as one
A low hum of singing voices
Unnoticed by most who pass by
Circles all over the world
The source is severed in many places
Wires down in every nation
Lines electrocute all who pass by

What must become of the trampled ions
Positives and negatives clash in between
Unwanted electricity is what they become
They start fires in every home
But the warmth is never felt
Connected all over the world
The source is severed in many places
Unwanted electricity
Is all we've become

I

I am on my way to a new discovery
Of myself
A skewed imagery portrayed
Its figure dismantled, unrecognizable
By its beholder
And by its creator
Insignificance is no longer relevant
Unimportance cannot begin to describe
Purposeless casts some light
But it forms a shadow
That covers the real chasm
Of an uneventful spirit
Unhindered and uninspired
Deadend by a path left empty
And it seems to go in one direction
To nowhere
I attempt to reevaluate my image
But it just stares right back at me
And reflects off the colored glass
As it becomes a duplication
Of a person I don't even know

The Great Divide

It is complete
All has completely gone to waste
You fear
I believe
I don't have time to bring back our lives
Together
It's not like I have givin up on you
You have givin up on me
It is done
You have helped me build this canyon
You retire
I press on
Just when it seems that our lives are coming back
Together
We've all been scattered by this divide
All I want is to be on your side
Separated
We're not the same
On unequal ground
We've lost so much
Let the great divide never keep us apart
Forever too long
It is complete
All has completely gone to shame
You always fear
I just believe

Battle Indecisive

Lock the doors, hide away
We're going to the place that takes your breath away
So you seem to be unsure
Never promised life would let you fly
You make me want to
How I want to

Close the windows let no one hear
Put out that cigarette, we'll plan this night right
So now you feel guilty
Couldn't tell you how much this means to me
You make me want to
How I want to

Is this how life should feel
Now that you've changed everything
The battle rages on

So piece this mystery together
We're gonna wake up feeling like we felt before
You'll feel better rested
Never told you the truth living lies
You make me want to
Oh how I want to
