As I

Snowflakes fall as I still stand, shivers run throughout my body as I hold your hand.
We walk throughout the world just as two in one, we walk for miles just to see the sun.
Our hands; shaky and cold, I look at you as time start to fold.
My breath starts to quiver as your teeth start to shiver.

Ahead we see lights as we strive to get to, ahead we see like as we used to.
This journeys taking too long, my feet cannot bare.
I look over, you are not there.
You left me on my own; my biggest fear.
Why must you leave me now my dear?

I stop at a tree, as I watch the light fade away.
I watch as the flakes fall down my cheeks as night turns into day.
I awake with no one around me, as I continue my journey.
You promised you would never leave me, so why change the story?
You brought me into this world and now you left me alone.
I cry out all my tears as my heart turns to stone.
Theres no one around me, not a phone booth in sight.
I realize your not coming back, into my life.

We made it so far why must you leave?
I can't do this on my own, why'd you do this to me?
Now you left me here to die, all these years...your love for me was just a lie.

Beautiful Butterfly

Life is beautiful in many different ways.
But some things happen..things you can't even explain.
You feel you've come closer to someone by feeling their pain.
Sometimes I wonder..
"Is this thing called life, just a game?"

Some people that you meet, come in and out of your life.
But some of those people you think to yourself,
"I'll never forget you."
Now...looking back and seeing that I only got to hang out with you once..is my biggest regret.

I think about you every night now,
I think about how many good memories we could have shared.
I think of how connected I feel to you because we've felt the same pain.
I think of "Why's god now letting us all go to sleep with a frown on our face."

Everyday I wonder why everyone keeps losing people,
people that they loved,
people that they looked up to,
or even people that they didn't know.
But why you, why now?

They always say,
"It was their time to go, their much happier now."
I'm thinkin...your so loved, so beautiful, so talented, so young.
WHY?

My heart is pounding because now all I'm thinking of is, what's next?
What more do we all need to happen?
How much more pain can he put upon us?
How many more lives is he gonna take?

Here I am, alone in my bedroom,
With just my thought for company,
I wish that you would just walk in with a smile on your face and a sparkle in each of your
eyes,
and finally, sitting here, with you, beside you, I’d just about realize...

Things happen for a reason,
things you can't explain.

It hurts inside to say good-bye,
it hurts like I just need to cry

When I met you, you looked so sweet and kind.
Why’d they take you, you didn't want to die.
All you did was spread you’re wings,
and up and up you’d fly.
Fly away butterfly, for you are in my heart.
Fly away butterfly, we'll never be apart.

One Wish

My words are walking, my tears are screaming.
My mind is racing, my heart is beating.
This world is crashing down, farther than I ever noticed.
People are weaping, people are dying.
People we love...are now flying.
Words are being said, tears are being whiped.
Parents hearts are breaking, and friends thoughts are shaking.
What do we do when our dreams are crashing?
Things happen for a reason...but can't you give us a sign,
were begging and were pleasing, don't take anymore lives.
Don't let these people ache anymore,
don't take these beautiful faces from the world.
This is my wish to you...the big guy up in heaven,
I wish you'd give us all a chance, a chance to see the world,
a chance to breathe it all in.
No more sickness, no more craziness, just peace.
After we've seen the world and learned everything we could..
you may take us. But promise me, no one will ever die young.
Love, Cassey
