Pluto and Charon

Buoyant ly they dance, orbs of shimmering ice
The gravity is strong deep in space, void of light

But if you never saw them dance, did they ever dance at all?
Yae, they did oh so elegant at the interplanetary ball

‘‘Twas only those two despite the giants all around
Through massive forces pulling
They could not be brought aground

“Just one more tender kiss, my love, before we leave this place
Before we drift apart forever into long forgotten space”

Gravity had pulled them close and briefly there they stood
A kiss they shared, a fond embrace, but neither was prepared

For within that kiss so shortly met
Was pieces of their core
Their gravity and poles aligned, made one forevermore.

Still they dance in perfect time through millennia and age
The stars and all the nebula now
Acting as a stage

The giants, still they lurk
But they still cannot match their gait
So it’s still just the two of them
Staring lovingly at their mate

Ship of Theseus

Oh but did you know
Or did you ever believe
All the faith i put in you
Was also into you and me?

If I know you like I think I do
Then, well, perhaps you did
But after all yiu put me through
Are you surprised at how I acted?

Always tried to do you right
But somehow I was wrong
I didn’t even try to fight
Cuz my feelings are still strong

I hope you know
I didn’t want to go

But for the sake of my own mind
And maybe also for my heart
I had to leave my love behind
And it’s tearing me apart

I’m a mess as it stands
Torn down into shambles

No longer picking pieces up
I’ll leave them in the brambles

I’ll build new pieces, shape them up
Replace the once I lost
Much like the ship of Theseus
Is it still me?
Was this the cost?

10 minute break

Breathe in, breathe out
It fills my lungs
Expelling doubt

I gaze up at the sky
With dull and fading eyes
Inhale, exhale
Let out smoke, not cries

The calmness overtakes me
Nothing ever shakes me
Inhale, exhale
Nothing now will break me

A sigh escapes my lips
For past relationships
Inhale. Exhale
Come on man, get a grip.

The sweet and loving sting
And the calm that it will bring
Inhale, exhale im just one human being

Fix the things you can control
And what you cants a goal
Inhale, exhale
One day I’ll feel whole

I stub the smoldering butt
Even if I’m in a rut
Inhale, exhale
Calm my twisted guts

The ashes are much like the past
Smoked down to the fiberglass
Inhale, exhale
Breaks over, time to go back

Smile the sun

Some people aren’t all that bad
Sometimes they can intrigue
The things they want, the things they know
When you ask em what they think

I’ve lived a lot a life too young
And met some wise old folks
Some fools who beat their chests like drums
And some who sorrow chokes

Each of them are all unique
With their own tale to tell
From yellowed pages with faded ink
To those with ink yet awell.

A cruel man wasnt always cruel
Nor A wise man always wise
But the story told behind these fools
Is told within their eyes

All these people miserable
And beautiful in their ways
Through experience incomprehensible
I hope to one day say

I hope to see you smile the sun
Feel it’s warmth upon your skin
Embrace the good that is to come
Soon as your life begins

Though beaten down and broken
Life has left you in the dust
With trauma left unspoken
You’ve seen the world as rust

So I walk these hollow streets
With a smile on my cheek
Because sometimes all anyone needs
Is someone to stop and speak

Tell them they deserve to smile the sun
Feel it’s warmth upon your skin
Embrace the good that is to come
Soon as your life begins

Life is hard, and life is short
Especially for folks like you and me
When your mental progress report
Is failing everything except philosophy

Just remember that you matter
Thst your trials meant a damn
That even when lost and scattered
That Youre special so you can

One day still smile the sun Feel it’s warmth upon your skin
Embrace the good that is to come
Soon as your life begins

On the borderline

Hideaway
Hideaway

Put it all in the attic

Runaway
Runaway

From the world when your manic

Giveaway
Giveaway

All your things when your depressed

Cuz maybe they’ll care when you’re dead.

Throwaway
Throwaway

Those thoughts. You know You’re a god

Go away
Go away

From all this, start a million things you’ll never finish.

Stowaway
Stowaway

The negativity and overconfidence

You’ll seem more normal if you do.

A struggle everyday
Cuz disorder doesnt go away
No matter how much booze I drink
No matter all the thoughts I think

Just think about what you would do
If you were me, and I was you

Don’t sue me, Sheryl Crowe

Toxic positivity
A blessing and a curse

Is it a possibility
That I can be sad first?

I cant always fake a smile
But other times I can

sometimes life will stab you though

and ruin all your plans

Living in the moonlight

With darkness all around

Stumbling and falling

With no light to be found

But I wanna soak up the sun

Wanna tell everyone to lighten up

But right now I am vampire

And I don’t give a

Feeding ducks

They say it isn’t good for them
To feed them moldy bread
But it always makes her giggle
When they Bob their heads

Teeny tiny boots upon the waters edge
The sun is shining warmly
As she tosses out some bread

She talks to them like people
Though their eyes are beady and dull
A little slip and almost wet
But on hee shirt I pull

She falls not in the water, but her little foot is wet
Teeny tiny boots will dry
And dryer socks I’ll get

Once the bread is gone
To the playground we will go
She runs and laughs and screams so free
As she flits to and fro

The other kids they play with her
I watch dutifully
Sure to bring a special kit
In case she scrapes her knee

These are things fhat bring me peace
My child wild and free
A smile upon her prettt face
A face that looks like me

Radicalized

Democrats
Republicans
All sycophants on ritalin

I’m tired of this rhetoric
I’m sick of it (IM SICK OF IT)

We have a million choices
But you all stick with two
Picking all the pedophiles
Wearing red or blue

Free will is dead and I don’t care

Let it burn, let it burn
But you all wouldn’t dare

A brand new start is needed
Cuz y’all are too conceited

We have a million choices
But you all stick with two
Picking all the pedophiles
Wearing red or blue

Anarchy? Necessity
Picking off the scabs

Leave the land in ashes
Leave it up for grabs

We have a million choices
But you all stick with two
Picking all the pedophiles
Wearing red or blue

Fields of green

All I desire
Are fields of green
Unife free of worry
Unlife so serene

Running along free
My feet bare and soft
Rid of the concrete
Rid of the rocks

The flowers and grass
Tickling my toes
I stop and I take in
The sweet air that blows

Worries aside
I stand wild and free
I lay me to rest
Neath a low hanging tree

A peaceful slumber
A joyous rest
For I’ve taken my life
For peace I will find
Only in death

Self flagellation

I hate you and don’t
Could tell you but won’t
I’ll hold it inside
And keep up my front

I smile, I wave
I always behave
But inside I hate you
But take it to my grave

You deserve not my anger
Though now Youre a stranger
I wish I didn’t feel this way
Cuz I’m always in danger

Of ruining it all
Lashing out to call
You names, words i don’t mean
So I hold it in my walls

The ones I built high
They chafe cloud and sky
No hammer and chisel
Will ever get inside

Smile and wave
The smile is fake
Christ i cant hate you
But how much more can I take?

You flit about gracefully
Round everyone but me
Ive no right to feel this way
But it makes me feel angerey

I guess I’ll stay here alone
On the outside of what was my home
You always felt like safety
But now it feels like broken bones

I can never tell you this
I want you to feel the bliss
Even though im here in pain
I’ll never say a things amiss.
