Martina Dimitrova Poem
My heart breaks
over his indifference.
He sweeps past me
as though I am nothing -
nothing,
as though I am invisible,
eyes brimming with hope,
with love.
My heart breaks.
Perhaps I am invisible to Him.
Perhaps I am unimportant.
Yet to me, he is the opposite.
Oh my,
this bloody boy -
my only propulsion.
My heart shatters,
shatters in pieces.
My eyes burn,
burn from tears -
tears without end,
dropping from my eyes
like a silent English shower.
My heart shatters.
I see it now:
he made it clear.
I am nothing.
He doesn’t care.
He never did.
I was foolish…
My foolish heart is broken.
I believed in love.
He wrote me -
but why?
He cared.
I know it to be so.
Yet he fooled me.
My foolish heart is broken.
Never to be fixed.
I give you my word,
you, otherworldly boy -
I will never fall for it,
fall for this insidious feeling,
other fools call love.

Martina Dimitrova Poem
First glance
Your face has got me
Do I stand a chance?
The one I wish is thee
It were your eyes
The ones of highness
It were you
My only kindness
The English voice
That calmed me deep
The one to stop the noise
The one to stop me weep
The mind of greatness
The only one I long for
The beauty of a sadness
Perhaps you wanted more
But I was true
I crossed the earth
Just to see you
I expected mirth
Oh, I thought without a fear
I want you near
You want me here
Oh, what happened dear
Was it me or the distance
Was it me or someone else
Please help me in this instance
I will believe your tells
You didn’t say a thing
Which crushed my heart
And it made me think
“Should I depart?”
You fooled me more than month
A game was played
I lost it stunned
But the memories will never fade
You made me who I am
You made love believable
I had to understand
You are too deceivable
Yet I fancy you from start
I always will
You make my foolish heart
Do not stay still

Martina Dimitrova Poem
I hope you feel the same
I hope you know I love you
I hope it didn’t end
I hope you feel the same someday
I looked you in the eyes
I knew I’d fall for you
You saw my hopeless tries
You never once were true
To run I wanted far
Far from any sight of you
To escape your lovely charm
Oh, how I wish you loved me too
I found myself enchanted
By every vow you swore
The blade that cut the deepest -
You had chosen her before
There’s something running through me
Perhaps it started from the mind
Please I beg to be let free
A cure is nowhere to be found
It may be sickness
Or some dark spell cast
It has gotten me possessed
And it will never pass
It hurts me truly
Deep inside my soul
I love you surely
You make me such a fool
Presents I’ve received
By someone not you though
He’s been so deceived
I’m sorry, please let go
I don’t deserve this kindness
But loyal I may stay to you
I ought not to have less
Less than being loved by you
I beg you for a chance
Please escape my head
Don’t leave me in this trance
Don’t let my wish be dead
I hope you feel the same
I hope you know I love you
I hope it didn’t end
I hope you feel the same someday

Martina Dimitrova Poem
It’s four in the morning
It’s you I’m waiting for
Are you coming?
I’ve never missed you more
All are having fun
I sit and wait
It is before the sun
I’m wrapped in shame
Is it because I’m drunk
Or you are just too far
It has long gone numb
My foolish loving heart
Now that you’re gone
I know it isn’t you
I won’t pick up my phone
I know it won’t be you
The messages have stopped
The memories remain
On the screen something popped
My heart is full of pain
I wish it to be you
I long for your text
I wish you’d want me too
Is she the next?
Is it her you love after me?
What have I done?
I only wanted thee
I swear - not for fun
Unexpectedly, you came
And sought out love
We want the same
I am an open door
We align too well
Please believe me
Our hearts will swell
It’s meant to be
Perhaps in another world
You’ll send me a glance
And this won’t be a swirl
Oh, I beg for a chance…
